But what if you already have a GB Player?  Those things aren't fun to take off - it'd be a pain to switch them around every so often...

Wal-Mart, as well, has the DS locked out from sales at the register.

Even though their TV ads say it's for sale now in the Home Entertainment department.

(And no, not even the store manager can override the sale at the register - it absolutly will not allow it.)

Just wondering if the battery from the GBASP will fit into the DS... anyone have a clue?

You could always just *give* it to me.

I wouldn't complain.

You know, this would probably be great fun, if it wasn't for the fact that I'm on crappy dial-up and there's bound to be lag galore....

Oh well, guess I'll have to settle for going to Wal-Mart to get my DS.

« on: November 13, 2004, 06:27:22 AM »
Personally, I think some of the Japanese commericals are quite a bit better than the ones we have stateside.

I'd almost think it'd be neat for NoA to just run a few of the Japanese commericals (complete with the Japanese language) just to really catch people's attention...

Is it at all possible Nintendo has on again/off again been working on this game since that demo back in 2001?

> Actually Bob think about how mcuh longer you would've had to wait outside if the 85 people in front of you all wanted to buy another game, or place pre orderes for Halo 3.

Then I would have thought "Gee, I should have gotten here eariler so I wouldn't have to wait behind all of these people."
See, I don't mind waiting so much (though I am a little cheesed that we all had to wait outside in the cold instead of waiting inside the mall...)

>What you do is, next time you happen to be in EB Games, just "casually" mention to one of the clerks (or preferably the manager)...

But... it was the store manager.

14215
So I go to the "local" EB Games (about an hour away) to pick up my Brother-in-law's HALO 2 Pre-Order at midnight. I get there at about 10, get handed number 86 and wait in line for over two and a half hours (in the cold outdoors, because apparently the mall management wouldn't let us wait inside) to get the game. When at the register, I ask about getting Mario Power Tennis (something for myself, after all) and I'm told (somewhat briskly) that "No, we're *only* selling HALO 2 tonight. You'll have to come back tommrow if you want that.".

What the crap is this?

The entire "maybe they wouldn't have bought it otherwise" arguement is crap.  You're still taking something that isn't yours.  Period.  There is absolutly no excuse for this kind of behavior.  Anyone who thinks it is okay really needs to review their own basic morals.

14217
Perhaps the DS could have some kind of FM receiver that we don't know about yet?

Hey, it's fun to speculate.

The people who seem to think they have the right to steal from others would likely be the first ones to complain if someone stole from them...

14219
Imangine if Nintendo teamed up with Clear Channel or something though and broadcasted a signal over regular radio waves - piggy backed on the latest Garth Brooks hit...

Well, I think I'm mostly sold on the Dance Pad...

I can't wait to try out the original Super Mario Bros. (via Game Boy Player) with the pad...  Should be fun...

Personally, I'm a-okay with stores and businesses that card anyone of any age for any reason (games, movies, etc...) - heck, I'd even encourage it.

However - and this is a big however - I am 100% against any government enforced regulation of any kind on retailers or individuals who wish to purchase/sell these items.

Confused?

Anyway, none of this changes that you can go to a store like Wal-Mart, put $50 on a gift card, then go home and log on to WalMart.com and order R rated movies or M rated games...  I don't know if EB or other stores/sites let you do this....

General Gaming / Buying old/used games online?

Anyone have any reccomendations for sites to buy old (NES) games/accessories online?  Espically hard to find stuff (Like Stack Up, etc...)?

Aside from eBay, of course...
