No really, I'm a good boy, but when I ran PowerScan on my computer, it found some 750 porn related links/files, probably having to do with this adware stuff.  And I think I'll try this Ad-aware, my friend recommended it to me as well.

I do think he made it clear that they wouldn't be released again. There was even a little message on the back of the box saying they wouldn't be released again.

Even I assumed it was BS, though. I figured that he meant it was the last time they would be released on VHS.

Do you own a copy of the SEs, though? When's the last time you saw the original versions then?

Have you gotten to at least take a look at the DVDs? The picture quality is simply mind blowing. Even on my 20" TV they look glorious. They definitely have never looked so good.

You should really check into getting a rip of the LDs, though. There's a lot of really good versions out and there's some cool projects where people are remastering them themselves to try and get them to look as good as the DVDs.

Would it be easier for him to transfer the Laser Disk version to DVD? If not, why don't you just look into getting one that's already been done for you, Ian San? They're all over Ebay, and since you've already boughten a legal version of the VHS I don't see what the big deal is.

By the way, I find it humorous when people who pitch a fit about the SEs don't even have a copy of the original versions in the first place. Some fan you are. Of course if your copy fell apart or something I can understand.

G4 sucks! Bring back regular TechTV you asshats!

Seriously, TechTV was one of my favorite channels, but I don't watch it anymore because of G4's crap. How many freakin' video game shows do you need? It's like the MTV of technology channels.

Okay, the problem with that is that I don't want all my folders to have the same setting. For instance, for my pic folders I like to use thumbnail view but for my music folders I use list.

I have not seen the movies in their entirety.  Could you please tell me if the Emperor de Holo in that scene from the new release looks the same way he did in the original version? (not concerning the quality of the transfer; just wondering if Lucas pulled a CG change-a-roo or something for the new releases)

No, it doesn't. In the original version they had not hired an actual actor to play the Emperor. Instead, they used an old woman with the eyes of a monkey composited in and Clive Revill supplied the voice. When they made Jedi they had to have an actual actor so Ian McDiarmid was hired. He has also played the same character in the prequels.

They also changed some of the dialog in the scene.

That's one thing that bugs the heck out of me in the new Star Wars movies.

But with the new movies, they seem to have invented new CG aliens, and it seems that everyone who isn't Jar-Jar is now being referred to as "humans" or human beings". Next they're probably gonna start saying that everyone's from Earth. It's become a fricking Star Trek clone.

What are you talking about? Seriously, I didn't understand any of that. I don't recall any point where an alien was called a human. Well, Han did call Jabba a "wonderful human being" but he was being sarcastic and meant it as an insult.

The Vader and Emperor hologram scene, now with more Ian McDiarmid!

Oh, and you can see the new CG Jabba for ANH and the tweaked Han/Greedo scene here.

Notice how beautiful the transfer is and these are compressed files. I can't wait to have these DVDs.

This is really starting to piss me off.

For some reason the settings for my folders, like how they are arranged and the appearance of the files, keeps being changed to what is apparently the default setting. What the hell is causing this, and what can I do to stop it?

I've had this problem for sometime, but it usually only happened once a month. Now it happens every damn time I reboot.

Yes, I know what to do. It just seems that it would be a lot easier if we could do it ourselves, which is why I asked.
