I for one welcome the glorious return of overconfident E3 2006 Sony.

It sure makes safely charging the things a gamble in one of the biggest lightning sites in the world in the middle of the summer storm season, that's for sure. Didn't think I'd ever miss Rest Mode this much.

I'm reading analysts are seeing this as a shadow announcement of the PS6 launch date.

For all the hate Nintendo is getting for Key Cards, at least they are keeping physical media and also DROPPING prices of digital games. Starfox is a much easier pill to swallow as a remake with it being $50. Also definitely going for Splatoon Raiders with it being $50 as well. Can't remember games being this cheap since Gamecube/Wii days.

Apparently Retrofighters took another stab at an aftermarket Playstation controller with the Defender Pro. The Defender was a solid controller but the d-pad had occasional double input issues and it ultimately just didn't feel like a Playstation controller. Alot of retrofighters controllers look like the same controller just with different buttons slapped on for different consoles and the original defender definitely felt more like a generic Xbox or Switch style controller than something I would associate with the Playstation which I found kinda off putting. The Defender Pro is redesigned to be more similar to the wireless Logitech PS2 controller I am very fond of and it has some nice features like trigger stoppers to make me happy, along with support for stuff like sixaxis and pressure sensitive buttons. Also if I understand it correctly it connects to the PS1/2 through a 2.4ghz connection and adapter while it connects to the PS3 through Bluetooth and there's a switch on the back to swap between them so you could theoretically use the one controller for both of those systems which is useful for the rational human beings who didn't shell out for a Frankenstein modded PS3 for PS2 games like I did.

I'm waiting to see what the feedback on it is like but I am definitely hopeful.
