Just got my Nintendo Power today and on the back cover, an ad for Lego Star Wars. Had to dig for a release date, as it is not listed on nintendo.com, but Amazon says it will be released Oct 14.

Which is good, because I so wanted this game. =)

Yeah the game is pretty fun, short, but fun. There's a whole heap of collecting that slows the pace down and therefore pads out game time. However with multiplayer I had a real good time.

I found the gameplay pretty weak. Some sections were pretty amusing like the boss battles and the flying sections. But the pod racing bit would not have been missed.

The light saber combat is elegant as using a baseball bat, but no where as bad as the random nature of blasters.

Looking for a side scroller fighting game, well you get a button masher. Looking for a collectathon? you got it.

Graphically, I have nothing to complain about. Its lego.

Great for kids and people with lego fetishes.

6.5 personal score.

Well, are they? I thought this was only for PS2, X-Box and GBA. Can we see a link please?

Doubtful. More than likely, it's probably just a PS2 port.

Anybody know if the Gamecube version supports progressive?

Is it four player? Or just a measly port?

Just a "measly port."  But for those of you who haven't played it yet; I have to tell you, it is a really fun game. I played it on PS2 a couple months ago, and I got the GC version the first day it came out this week.

I just finished it, and I can safely say that I enjoyed this game more than the trilogy it was based on. It even manages to have a better ending that Episode 3 did (i.e. no bitchy "Noooooooooooooooo!"). Plus the co-op/character switching mechanic is very well done. It is rather easy, I blew through it in a few days, only playing an hour or two at a time, but there's lots of unlockables to uncover after the main game is done.

I now demand that Traveler's Tales develop a sequel around the old trilogy, IMMEDIATELY!

i got this and beat if fairly quickly... and loved it. i've been playing it through again to get more stuff. the co-op part is the best (second player can jump in and out whenever they want)

and i agree, i did enjoy it more than the movies =D

so, now we just need the sequel.
