Not my intention to play them all right now. Just one of them depending on the first to get three votes from the users here.

I'm thinking of going back to the Wii U to keep chipping away at my library there. Still a lot of major titles I've got to get through. Here's 5 that are still top of my to-do list for the system. Please vote for the game you suggest I tackle next:

Batman: Arkham City
Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze
Kirby and the Rainbow Curse
Paper Mario: Color Splash
Yoshi's Woolly World

I strongly recommend Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. It is favorite game on the Wii U and perhaps favorite game of all time.

I'll also vote for Tropical Freeze, maybe the best 2D platformer ever.

Following Khush's lead, here are five games from my Wii U backlog:
  • The Wonderful 101
  • Darksiders
  • Axiom Verge
  • Mario and Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games
  • Scribblenauts Unlimited
I will play the first one with 3 votes.

Eclectic selection. I could see 101 being a popular choice for other users from the selections listed but I am going to give a vote to Scribblenauts Unlimited. I haven't played it myself (or any Scribblenauts game) but I'm curious what one's impression of a Scribblenauts title would be at this point in time as the series has sort of become forgotten. How well does it hold up now?

Ok Khush I'm changing my vote for you to Tropical Freeze. That's three, get started! Major tip: don't feel bad about spending the Coins in Funky's shop to get more helper barrels. I spent ages grinding the bossfights until I discovered you could just get like 6 extra hits by rocking up with extra Dixie barrels.

Mr. Bungle - I'd wager either Scribblenauts or Sochi Olympics is probably the shortest of the bunch if you want to get the ball rolling, so I vote for those two. If you're in a Summer heatwave currently, maybe the Winter Olympics is some fun counter-programming?

Oh. I didn't realize you were voting for Kirby. I thought you were just giving advice. Otherwise I'd have been including it when posting the vote tally. Oops.  :-[

Alright. Tropical Freeze is my winner.

I'm sorry Mr. Bungle. I don't know where the people are who could help vote for your next game.  :'(

Two votes for Scribblenauts is enough then. I will report back on it soon.

Batman: Arkham City
Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze
Kirby and the Rainbow Curse
Paper Mario: Color Splash
Yoshi's Woolly World
Batman and Kirby are both on my list as well. I've played the other three. DKC is probably the most talked-about game, so I guess that'll be a good one to start with. But Yoshi is my fave of those five.

  • The Wonderful 101
  • Darksiders
  • Axiom Verge
  • Mario and Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games
  • Scribblenauts Unlimited
I guess I'll vote for Scribblenauts just to give it three and make it feel more official. Unlimited is the only Scribblenauts game I've played, so I can't compare it to the others. It feels more like a proof-of-concept demo, and never takes its mechanics very far or uses them creatively. The core concept can still provide some entertainment in its novelty, though I kind of wonder if it's perhaps too wide of an idea to provide a tighter experience.

I've played some of that Mario Olympics game. It hasn't really done much to improve over the previous winter one. I don't think these games are bad, but they haven't reached their full potential, and can still be fun as a party game. Weak in single player though.

I haven't played the other three, but I have Darksiders and Wonderful 101,

I did not finish this in August but came close. I posted some notes in the Reader Reviews thread.

So, despite what some of you have been saying, this was not all an elaborate trick to get Mr. Bungle to play Scribblenauts Unlimited. It's just that August suddenly turned into a late race against RABicle for completing the most games and I didn't want to try and rush through DKC:TF. It's a game I wanted to tackle at my own pace and soak in. Like a fine meal, I wanted to savor it. As such, I finally got into this past Saturday and Sunday as I now had the time to do so. While I wasn't playing it constantly through the weekend, I still made good progress and almost fully completed the first 4 islands. Currently finishing up the 4th island. Missed a puzzle piece in one level and have to play the temple level for it as well. However, I'll probably bump the old Trop Freez thread I started years ago for more impression since this is the planning thread. Just felt right to update this first though.

I can't wait to hear what you think of it. Those mine cart levels are sooo good. I want a whole game of mine cart levels! I can't believe Yooka Laylee didn't have any  >:(

Yooka-Laylee had Mine Cart levels / moments. Are you talking the second one because that I haven't played to know what it does and doesn't have.

Yes, my bad I was thinking of the sequel, Impossible Lairl. The mine cart levels in DKC are the ones I love so I was hoping Playtonic would have put some in. Impossible Lair is still a great game and I highly recommend it.

Now that you mention it, I do remember mine cart levels in DK 64 and Yooka Laylee. I don't think the 3D version has been done that well yet.
