Nintendo Gaming / What Will You Be Playing/Buying?
« on: November 14, 2006, 08:23:36 PM »
Well we're here, the final countdown. We've reached less than a week status and it is now hump day (Well, for most it is). Budgets are set and launch plans are made but there's something I want to know from my fellow launch Wii-ers....what are you going to pick up at launch and what will be the game that is your Wii's first? (Or, what you think will be your wii's first, sometimes what you think will be the first and what it ends up being are different heh.)

Me personally? At launch I will be acquiring the following....

1 Wii from Nintendo console

1 The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
1 Trauma Center: Second Opinion
1 Excitetruck
1 Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam
1 Madden NFL 2007
1 Metal Slug Anthology
1 Red Steel

3 Wii Nunchuks
3 Wii Remotes (Wiimote )
1 Classic Controller
1 Component AV Cable (If I can successfully order them in a few hours here)

Hopefully I also get called by Nebraska Furniture MArt in time for my new TV to be delivered to me (37" Westinghouse 1080p monitor for those who didn't see the New TV for Wii thread) >< Any Wii Points I get I'll probably order directly from my Wii. I anticipate the first game in my Wii will be Madden NFL 2007 (Inviting some friends over to try this out). Also going to pick up about 20 bottles of Bawls as I'll have my system at Midnight but won't be going to sleep until early Monday morning heh, will need the energy. The last game to go in my Wii from that pickup will be zelda. Why? Most probably have figured it out...when Zelda goes in, it won't come out until its been finished!

Anyways, those are my pickups and plans for launch...what about yours?

Nintendo Gaming / Official Fusion Tour Wii Impressions Thread
« on: September 28, 2006, 06:23:51 PM »
Sure I'm no one to make an "Official" thread, but I figured there should be one with the tour being started and all. I plan to go to the Nov.5th Kansas City stop (Yay for hometown visits!), regardless of whether it's a mere two weeks prior...Iwant to play Wii! Ahem, anyways, I thought this couldbe the thread for anyone whodoes go to share their thoughts on playing Wii, I mean what a great way for us to hear random people's opinions other than journalists hmm? (Bote: I value journalist opinions as well )

Nintendo Gaming / Right, So What's the Deal?
« on: May 14, 2003, 12:45:10 PM »
OooooK. What gives? It's E3. Nintendo has a TON of games that just rock for us to oogle over (Custom Robo, Geist, Mario Kart, F-Zero, list goes on) and yet everybody and thye momma want to bitch, moan, cry, whine, and doom n' gloom about Nintendo! So Sony has a new handheld? Big freaking whoop. It could suck. It could be good. Who freaking cares?! Damn thing has to crack GBs 100+million installed base for Nintendo or us to care! Nintendo has been in business for OVER 100 years....that's damn near 10 times as long as the majority of us have been alive! I think that any of us with half a brain can agree that they're know what they're doing.

Finally I just want anyone who wishes to criticize Nitnendo to just think of one thing before you start talking and/or typing....Do YOU have a cool $6,000,000,000+ dollars in the bank? If your answer to this question is no, shut the fack up, pick up a controller, joystick, or handheld. Fire up said system that goes with it. And play some damn games. Yeesh.

Nintendo Gaming / Nintendo's Gone Desperate....
« on: April 13, 2003, 07:09:16 PM »
REDMOND, Wash., January 17, 2006 - Nintendo announced earlier today that, to compete with the powerhouse that is the Playstation 3, it will merge with now former 3rd party developer SEGA.

The reason for this merge is to 'aggresively compete with the threat to true gaming' as one anonymous source claims. News of the merge first broke in November when rumors flew left and right over Nintendo's possibility of going 3rd party. The new company will be called Nintega, though it is subject to change over the course of the final dealings. More as it becomes available.

As the worldwide leader and innovator in the creation of interactive entertainment, Nintendo Co. Ltd., of Kyoto, Japan, manufactures and markets hardware and software for its popular home video game systems. The systems include Game Boy(R), Nintendo(R) 64, Game Boy Advance and Nintendo GameCube(TM). Since the release of its first home video game system in 1983, Nintendo has sold more than 1.6 billion video games worldwide, creating enduring industry icons such as Mario(TM) and Donkey Kong(R) and launching such franchises as Zelda(TM) and Pokemon(R). As a wholly owned subsidiary, Nintendo of America Inc., based in Redmond, Wash., serves as headquarters for Nintendo's operations in the Western Hemisphere.

For more information about Nintendo, visit the company's Web site, www.nintendo.com.

Tis would be a strange day indeed huh? Personally I doubt Nintendo is gong anywhere but with all the freaking naysayers, sales watchers, and people generally not caring about their games in front of them in opt of watching sales and trying to be Nintendo's business directors (=/), I made this post so you could wonder....what if? Just imagine..."Coming Christmas 2006.....DREAMCUBE from Nintega featuring the Game of E3 winner....Mobius Mushroom, the joint RPG featuring Sonic the Hedgehog and Mario from the minds of Yu Suzuki and Shigeru Miyamoto" Feel free to discuss and if I may repeat...I do NOT think Nintendo is going anywhere...just thought I'd throw up a fun topic to ease everyone's mind.
