Hm.  Concert isn't Black Friday - it's a week before.  Thanksgiving falls late this year.

Great news for me, sad news for my wife, who doesn't really care to go anyway, but did like the idea of a weekend in Chicago.

So, who wants to buy the second ticket and go to Chicago with me? :(

So in one week I acquired the following:

- Sonic Lost World
- ZombiiU
- The previously mentioned COL/ACIV
- Tekken Tag Tournament WiiU
- Sonic and All Stars Racing
- Need for Speed Most Wanted U
- Mass Effect 3 (don't ask)

So yeah, I went a little nuts. Paid about $120 for the lot.

Got Toki Tori 1 on Wii U -- kinda disappointing compared to 2, but eh, it's just 2 euros.

Decided to finally stop torturing keyboard on my work PC and got NES Ninja Gaiden on 3DS.

Also bought Mii Force -- it's pretty neat. Cool mechanic with different slots and rotating.

Nice kitty.

I was roused from my slumber at around 2 am and before falling back asleep, I decided to download TLoZ: ALBW so the game would be ready to come with me to work.  I didn't have much free time to play, but I got in a solid 30 minutes with the game on my breaks/lunch.  Loving that silky smooth 60 fps feel, and I can't wait to get into the game more.

After work, I drove to my local EB and asked for Mario.  The guy immediately reached for 3D World, but his manager had him make sure that I wasn't asking for Mario Party.  I thought that was kind of funny.  Beat the first world really fast, and everything I've heard about the game so far has been spot-on.  Played the entire time with a huge grin on my face; the is just stacked with charm.

I sold my original Wii and all 7 of my games for money. I bought GTA 5 a few weeks ago and I'm absolutely loving it. I love exploring the massive game world, from the top of the mountains to the bottom of the ocean. My favorite thing to do is drive offroad cars to the top of the mountains and drive off a cliff.

Totally going to order one of those cart locks.

Got Anodyne a few weeks ago.

The obvious comparison is LoZ but the game is pretty light on challenge and progress.  Exploring is cool but sometimes I have no idea where I am supposed to go next.  Some of the areas feel very, very disconnected to the rest of the game which kind of undoes a lot of the reasons for having a large, mostly interconnected world.  The small amount of upgrades means that your character doesn't really improve all that much, ability wise.  The enemies get a little tougher but, since your weapon power is the same as it ever was, it's just a matter of being able to spam enough hits on a boss/enemy before your life meter depletes.  The music sets a good mood and the 16 bit color palate/fx works well enough with the block-y visuals.

It's not very intense so I don't find myself playing it for long stretches--1/2 hour here or there but it's functional--sort of a relax and unwind game.  Not Zelda, but not a bad buy for $2.

Trying not to keep buying games faster than I can play them... but the Weekly Humble Bundle deal was too good to turn down.

I paid $6 for Zen Pinball FX2 (PC) with the following tables:

*Core Pack -- Pasha, Rome, Biolab, and Secrets of the Deep
*Classic Pack -- Shaman, El Dorado, Tesla, V12, and Sorcerer's Lair
*Avengers Chronicles Pack -- The Infinity Guantlet, World War Hulk, Fear Itself, The Avengers
*Star Wars Pack -- Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, The Clone Wars, Boba Fett
*Marvel Pinball Original Pack -- Spider-Man, Wolverine, Iron Man, Blade
*Earth Defense
*Paranormal
*Epic Quest

Paying just $1 would net you all of the non-Marvel and Star Wars tables... which is probably a better value. But I've been keen to try the Star Wars ones though and it's hard to argue with $6 for the lot. My only disappointment is that the games are limited to Steam on Windows, which isn't my favorite way to play.

Sale keeps going for a couple of days - pinball fans should check it out.

Also recently paid $20 to reacquire The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker (GameCube) after selling my copy for considerably more before the reprint was released. Planning to start playing this game before long.

^^ i'd say Zen Pinball on 3DS is a great value as well considering it includes Excalibur -- Zen's best table.

I've got both 3DS games and enjoy them a great deal. Zen Pinball is probably my most played game on the handheld - top 3 for sure - and that says a lot coming from an RPG guy. Looking forward to playing more tables and having them on a big screen.

I tried out Pinball FX2 on both Xbox and Wii U and i honestly prefer it on 3DS. Not only because of portability factor (just whipping out your 3ds for a quick game of pinball when you're waiting in line or in cinema while waiting for movie to start is so good), but because of 3d.

After playing it on 3DS for years now, HD pinball now looks wrong and too flashy or something and no 3d.

Also there are three zen pinball games on 3DS: regular Zen, Marvel and now Star Wars.
