I don't think anyone would have an issue with it.  We've had developers of retail games promote their products in the forums so I don't think there would be a problem with a student game unless it sucks, in which case keep it out of here.  ;)

Just make sure there is a conversation around it of some sort.  I did the same thing more or less a year or so ago with a silly flash game.

I'd only lock the thread if all it said was something like "play my game."

I think he completely overlooked it but we can't be sure. So just in case he did overlook it....
