I don't think they have the free time you do.

I can multi-task.
I have volunteered my free time, so why not use it to their advantage?

Send in your staffer application.

Keep in mind you'll have to disclose the free Babiez games you receive each time.  We want the truth about how game companies pamper you.

Then why are they consistently late? Everyone fact checks, and if it was only a few hours then who cares, but this was damn near 12.

By the time you guys posted it, BnM had already posted everything you see in this thread (which is far more in depth and helpful btw).

I know he can speak for himself but BnM is not trying to "show you up" or anything. He's genuinely interested in bringing in information. Even more so, he's genuinely interested in having more forum goers. Why is that so bad?

You guys should just hire him already. It's not like you pay or anything.

Then he'd stop visiting the "real" forum like everyone else.

All kidding aside, I think some of you should back off on hating BnM for actually CARING about the site (which includes the forums) as much as he's showing he does.

I can multi-task.

You're quick to use the "We're all doing this on a volunteer basis" excuse, but what do you think BnM is doing? He too has a job and a personal life to maintain, i'm sure, but he's still around almost daily and delivering news and rumours in the forum (where we always have jokingly said the staff doesn't visit). Why not thank him for his suggestions to help the site gain readership/regular posters here?

Wanna know how i discovered the forum? When news on Nintendos next system, Project Dolphin seemed to come to a screeching hault on the front page of PlanetN200.com, i finally decided to explore more of the site and clicked that little forum button. At first, i was bored by it. It was the first forum I ever visited and until I gave it a chance, I thought it was something I'd never come back to... until I was desperate for some news regarding the Dolphin and discovered some wild and interesting discussions in there. I lurked for some time before joining about 3 years ago.

Honestly.. i haven't really been back to the front page since. No offense, but the forums were just more interesting and usually had some news first. In an era where Nintendo is back on top and everyone everywhere is supporting some sorta nintendo news, what keeps me glued to THIS site is the community i discovered here all those years ago. Seeing the familiar 'faces' dwindle with very few new ones to replace them is disheartening..

So again, why not encourage readers to stay and enjoy the forums? It just seems like a no brainer to me. Even if you still wanna link to the Talkback topic which is usually a little later than the original thread started elsewhere in the forum, why not include at least a few choice quotes from your regular visitors from the other threads? Post your story however late, but show the outside world theres more to the site then news that might've come a little late.. show them the great community we have here.

We'll look into this and come up with some sort of solution for the near-term.

For now, back to your regularly-scheduled Epic Mickey thread.

Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

Well hey if you remember before I ended up on staff I was running some of the rumor and news racket on the forums on a speedy basis. Writing stories takes up a lot more time than just simply copy and pasting random info on the forums and calling it a day.

I also found the first US DSi packaging on NeoGaf and Carmine quickly jumped on and posted it on the front page. I also got credit for the find :P

i remember way back in the early days I translated a french article for pgc, the staff was too lazy to do it. I ended up cleaning it up nicely. A couple of other people helped too.

We'll get a guided FPS out of this, eventually.
