Post by: Seacor on October 28, 2013, 10:38:30 PM
I just started to receive the following error attempting access to NWR this evening.  This is happening in Firefox 24.0.  The site appears to function using IE and Chrome.

Update:  The problem is also happening in Chrome.

Using Firefox or Chrome, I can only get to the site if I use the following URL:
http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/forums/index.php

Any attempts to visit the front page of the website return the errors.

Also, I received the following error when I wasn't even attempting to logon:

Sorry, but you've reached your login attempts threshold. Please wait 30 seconds and try again later.

I had this problem also. I cleared my cookies and active logins, and now they both work.

Oh, and I'm using FireFox.

Thanks for the response and tip!

I thought I had Firefox set to clear everything on exit, but after checking "Settings for Clearing History," cookies and site preferences were unchecked.  After checking those, exiting and launching the browser, I can now get to the main page of the site.  Chrome now works as well after clecking everything in "Clear Browser Data."

Crazy!
