Of all the Tales of games I have played, I'd have to say that Symphonia was and still is my stand out favorite. So this is very welcoming news. LOL at PSP port though, DS, Wii, ad PS2 get new games or new sequels, while poopr PSP gets a port.

I think it'd be pretty pointless to do a sequel to Symphonia based only two years in the future if the old characters weren't going to show up somewhere along the line...As for Kratos, he's probably gone for good...

There's no overworld in the game, it seems...(Which, to be honest, really isn't that much of a loss considering how crappy it was in the original...)

There's been confirmation of hitting "updated" versions of locales visited in Symphonia, which isn't surprising...

Oh yes, the old Symphonia characters are also confirmed to "not only appear, but also provide assistance to the main characters..." Take that how you wish...

Overworlds are usually fail from a gameplay perspective but they do give a sense of location and exploration instead of making locations feel like menu items scattered in random positions over a picture with mountains and stuff.

More details:

~ Main characters' names are Emil and Malta
~ Story takes place three years after Symphonia (not two, like I posted earlier...)
~ The game will feature Wii-mote direct controls, allowing players to move around by pointing at sections of the map.
~ While not strictly Wii related, the game will also include the ability to capture and breed monsters for use as allies in battle.

It should work in this game since the two worlds have been recombined, and so things should be rearranged/disrupted quite a bit.
