Kind of odd that you are trying to compensate (very nice of them indeed) for being an early adopter but why are the games for the Wii and not the 3DS?  Guess the assumption is everyone owns a Wii but I would think they would want to push people using the 3DS.

Or did I miss something and these are all coming to the 3ds?  I mean I already bought the legend of zelda VC for the 3ds.  Kind of confused as to where some of these games are going.

Waiting for this to show up in the cheap bin.  $40 is too high for this title when there is still way to many games similar to this on DS and going for much less.  3D is not enough to make this a buy.  Though I am glad to see something in this genre of game coming to the platform.

TalkBack / Re: StreetPassing in North America: Success or Failure?
« on: May 16, 2011, 01:23:51 PM »
I live south of Boston and got only 1 (guy working at a Target store).  I guess part of the trick here is public transportation and schools.  Neither or which I am associated heavily with.  I did bring it to my son's graduation at Amherst this weekend and got nothing...same with bringing it to pick up my other kid at high school...nothing (she won't bring it to school yet...doesn't want to lose it).  That last bit is another reason it may be a bit challenging...this is rather an expensive device for 'kids' to bringing to school.

But Pax and NYCC is on the horizon.  If my Dragon Quest experience holds I should be loaded with 100's of hits when I go there.  Its just to bad its not more part of my daily bit.

Is there a web site that someone is coordinating all these StreetPass events?  If not, this site would be well suited for doing that...no?  Nintendo should sponsor this type of activity.

TalkBack / Re: 3DS Super Mario Game Will Not Feature StreetPass
« on: May 08, 2011, 08:26:50 PM »
Reason why they should have added street pass is because they are a first party publisher on a new console.  They have a responsibility to demonstrate the technology in the platform.  This is a center piece title and street pass is a big feature of this device.  If they don't know what to do with it...then who will?  Why did the add it?  This system is turning into an expensive DS with expensive games.

What could they have done?  Earn coins meeting people?  New mario outfits?  Playable character? New puzzle if you meet so many people?  But guess we don't find out.  If  they don't know, will the 3rd party guys?  Read the Abyss article in this months Nintendo Power that basically has the developer telling us we should be happy to get the game and no we won't be doing anything with features of the 3ds other than the 3d, which he admitted was a direct port from the ps2.  Then charge us 40 bucks for an old game.

Hope things get better down the road..oh wait...this game was the one down the road.

Good review. I am not quite done yet but my experience matches yours so far.  The music is great though it does get quiet at times in the game.  That was rather odd.  It didn't always seem to be for effect, it would just end.

This is a game with a significant story and large amount of dialog.  Really puts to shame some of those large AAA titles that try to do this and often get lost.

I mainly play RPGs and usually wait for the price to drop.  But as usual with Atlus, I am glad I picked this up quick.  Its out of stock in most of the usual places already.

For those who don't have it...hope they have a second printing.

This is a jewel.
