I can't say I'm surprised, I can think of several people who'd have wanted to do this, especially after the last game.

Oh well, no biggie. I don't have much time anyway mostly due to the holidays, so I wouldn't have done much for the game regardless. Go townies!

And with that my first game becomes a short lived one. I guess my suggestion that the Townies use their superior numbers to brute force a win was deemed too dangerous to the Mafia's interests. That, or someone didn't like the fact that I wasn't easily cajoled like the rest of the Townies.

The Mafia have been pretty effective at directing the Townies' votes so far. Hopefully they snap out of it.

PixPix, it may not have even been for something that you did. This game isn't just about what you're doing but also what people perceive you're doing, so the Mafia may have thought something of you that wasn't even true because of something you did. So in addition to considering your actions, you also have to consider the possible ways they'll be interpreted. It's tricky!

But hey, as I always say, the best players tend to get killed early. Maybe you should take it as a compliment!

EDIT: Then again. Maybe not. I thought a tie was achievable here but having just been given some inside info, looks like I've been confounded further. Only fitting for me as I've clearly demonstrated myself to be the worst mafia player ever.

Khush what are you talking about? You did great, had us pined down (except Spak). Your pms to me had me super scared, specially the one were you told me I was Santas helper. Btw, who was Santas Helper anyway?

That's a really good question, actually. I could have brought things down a lot faster by letting Spak in on my plans, but I didn't until today for whatever reason. Not that it really mattered, it would have only lasted one more day anyway.

I was carefully balancing my game.  I was looking to see who was online while logged off…and then quickly checking my PMS, and carefully logging off again.  If I sent a PM to my mafia friends, I sent one to Khush as well.  So if he saw me in the PM area I had an excuse.

I kept on talking like a townie and actually tried to play as a townie.  I have clues and flat out told Khush almost who all the mafia was.

I tried to think of everything…but the whole time I was just scared to death.

This might be my-bad. Here are the original, unaltered rules:

Santa chooses a person to be his ‘helper’. This person is not notified by the Host until Santa’s passing that he is the next Santa. The player is free to inform the helper themselves but there is no certainty on the helper's part that this is truth unless the Host is the one telling them this.

So when the flaw was pointed out to me I changed so that I assigned the Helper Role. So in my mind the rules went like this:

The Host chooses a person to be Santa's ‘helper’. This person is not notified by the Host until Santa’s passing that he is the next Santa.

I apologize for the confusion. I noticed it way too late in the game that people had a different idea of the role and I feared I would upset the balance of the game by interfering. If the player I had picked had been searched it would have come back as Helper though. The Helper was a 'sleeper' role in that they were unaware of getting it since they role would not take effect until after Santa's passing.

Ooooohhhhh. Now you speak up on it. After I asked if it could go to a mafia member, you said "That is a huge loophole with Santa possibly going to the Mafia. I'll just randomly select a new santa instead of the old one getting to choose." I took that to mean you were handing out the role and informing the player at that time.

You saw all the messages I sent to other people about trying to find Santa's Helper or asking if it was them. I even mentioned a plan with Santa's Helper coming forward so that we could trust him with investigations.

In the previous rules, you mentioned that Santa could inform his helper if he wanted to that he had selected that player for the role. But with your selecting the helper, Santa no longer knew who that was nor did the player selected. No wonder it was a fruitless search. Who was it in the end?

Boo-yah! First townie I contacted and the one I wanted to make a serious alliance with. He shot me down and then Spak-Spang took me up my offer. That didn't go so well.....
