A $50 price drop for DSi when it is the best selling version of the best selling system? The next time they do price drops, I think it will be to $150 and DS Lite to $100.

That's what I'm guessing too. However, I think it should be $150 to get a stranglehold on the market. Though preferably it should be $100 since no handheld is worth more than that.

As for price, I'm going with $189.99 to keep it just under the Wii.

I don't think $189 gets Nintendo any better PR or sales than $199, so I can't think of any reason they wouldn't charge the extra ten bucks.

I'm sticking with $199 even though I know there is a possibility that it could be no more than $250.

It's hard to gauge since we don't fully know everything the 3DS offers as we don't know whats up with the stylus, the bottom screen, the port on back, the internals and online connections.

But I still think $199 is Nintendo limit on mass market pricing regardless if I'm willing to pay $250 for something more capable than what they'll likely release.

Keyword is that they EXPECT Nintendo to charge that much, they are not saying Nintendo will do it. They are basically guessing. Besides, Nintendo like to keep the same number for pricing (meaning they would likely charge $200 in the US and 20,000 yen in Japan).
