Episode 79: PAX Director's Cut

A full recap of what we saw at PAX and our live game of Who Wants to be a Nintendoaire?!

http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/connectivity/33701

Hello, and welcome to Episode 79, our PAX East recap!

Kicking things off, we have a segment recorded from the hotel room after day 2 featuring just about everyone who was at PAX East. We make a lot of dumb jokes, and talk about the variety of games we saw, including Deus Ex, Shovel Knight, Toki Tori 2, DuckTales, and more! Also, there was lots of beer involved.

After that, you'll find the entirety of our live game of Who Wants to be a Nintendoaire? Listen along as contestants from the audience fight tooth and nail for one of our illustrious prizes. Also, hear the audience groan audibly at least three (3!) of the questions written by Zach Miller!

Thanks to everyone who came to Nintendoaire or just said hi over the weekend. It was an incredible time for all of us. If you have some listener mail to share, click here to send it our way. See you next week with a regular show!

Nice to see you guys slummin' it at the kids table.

Speaking of kids, I will gladly cede my championship belt in Nintendoaire to the first contestant. There is no way he was 10 years old.

None other than "New England" by Big D and the Kids Table. Sort of serves a double meaning for this episode! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NE42GpQeIZY

The PAX previews convinced me that the Dues Ex port is safe to preorder. Thank you.

Also, am I the only person that assumed "rank the following cartridges in order of size" referred to data capacity? In fact, I feel like you may have had this same question in an earlier podcast.

Listening to the Nintendoaire now.  Looks like that next year everyone will come with some sort of prop and it will look more like Let's Make a Deal instead of Millionaire. :)

I wish that we had video to see the number of hands coming up in the "Ask the audience" option. Sounds like it was pretty humorous.

I liked the reaction of the crowd when you started playing the Ducktails music.

I need to make it to a PAX sometime, but being in Kansas, makes it expensive to go to one coast or the other.

Really?! A BOY AND HIS DOG?! FAIL.
This would be my PSN Trophy Card, but I guess I can't post HTML in my Signature. I'm the pixel spaceship, and I have nine Gold trophies.
