I already text Toruresu when trying to coordinate play times for Modern Warfare so I don't have a problem with the cell exchange.

...You all know NWR has a chatroom, right?  When you go online in Monster Hunter, go online in NWR's chat.  It's really that simple! =O

Oh, I'm going to start playing as soon as my  cat gets done being surprised I'm home.

My computer in the house is not really handy to go running back and forth between it and the tv. I can't be playing and leave the chat room open. No laptop in the house either. My girls are murder on them.

Regardless, I'm on now, up to the 2 star quests online, so if anyone wants help getting there or wants to do those missions, I could lend a hand... If I'm in a quest, send me a message, and I'll talk back when I'm done.

Edit:  So Lindy messaged me, then went offline. -_-

I was going to set up a room on Wisdom 3, Gate 27, Room 5.  In fact, no one is in that Gate, so feel free to come online and join in.  We'll make that NWR MH3 room.

Yeah, I just hopped off for a bit.  I've been playing (offline) all afternoon and needed a break.  I was happy with the achievement of actually adding somebody to my friends list.

Ah ha.  Since that's the case, I'm heading back to normal rooms.  If you catch me online and send me a message, if I reply, know that Wisdom 3 Gate 27 City 5 is where I'm going.  It's a recruiting server.

I'll be sure to hop on to that specific room when I go on so I can hopefully touch base with you all.

I'm giving my brother my headset for the time being. Main reason...

Jon, I ordered off amazon.com Logitech's Vantage USB headset mic. It's compliant with the PS2 and PS3, just as my previous headset was, too.

I'll let you know how it goes once I get it.

I won't be hanging out there unless one of you message me, though =P

So these 3rd party mics have been Wii Speak-compatible the whole time?  Greedy Nintendo, pretending that their Wii Speak was the only option available.

Anyone wanna get on so we can add each other to our lists real quick? I'm not gonna be on for long, but I'd love to be able to add you anyway.

Any preferences for which room to join tomorrow night?  I'd like something without much traffic, and would love to settle on one Server/City Gate to use throughout.

Aren't we able to make private rooms? Maybe we could do that instead?

Private rooms? Thought you could just password lock quests.

I'm curious if this has happened to anyone else here. Ever gone online & found people sitting around in the tavern, refusing to start a quest because they claim to not have any money on them to pay the initial fee? I mean yeah, I can see every now & then you would show up short changed after forging/upgrading gear & shopping beforehand. But 3 players all with higher ranks & better equipment? At least once, a guy tried to tell me what quest to pick for him.
Mission...complete?

That's actually a common occurrence.   Armor and Weapons cost tons, and buying 10 potions costs 660 zenny, almost as much as you'll earn from a victorious quest with two deaths, sometimes more on lower rank quests.  I've tried to do a mission and been out of money, and that was just because people I would play with would keep dying, so it's definitely conceivable.

I say the place for NWR to settle should be Wisdom 3, Gate 27 room 5, but that's just me.  No one uses that server or that gate, so we'd be good.

Couldn't you grind offline and then take your money with you online?

Wisdom 3
Gate 27
Room 5

This is fine with me.  If nobody else has any suggestions, we'll roll with that.

Just had a really fun game with Kenology, although a slightly weird ending where the Great Jaggi SHOULD have been staggered so we could trap him.

I guess we dealt too much pain.  :P:

EDIT:
Oh, and the above server/gate/city is fine with me, too.  I'll try my hardest to be there tomorrow night... I may be slightly late because of watching Lost, but I will most definitely try to be there. :)

Since I'm nearing my final set of undergrad finals, my attendance at the inaugural few Monster Hunter Club nights might be dodgy. I'm going to try very hard to make it tomorrow. At the very least, I plan to actually take the game online and add everyone.

All right, I should be good to go for tomorrow night. How far along are the lot of you? I just started so I'm WEAK, I hope the rest of you aren't already out of my range...

Here's my information:
Character name: Damsel
Online ID number: JRCJ8D

I'll be using a keyboard to communicate if that matters to anyone.

I named my character Damsel because I will likely often be in distress. Get used to that.

Actually, since I don't have Wii-Speak or a USB headset, I'll be using Skype.  If anyone wants to play and speak over skype, I'd be open to it.

I can't do Skype, it'd kill my computer. But I can do AIM for anyone else who has access to a PC whilst playing.
