We're going to ketchup on our listener mail come hell or high water.Download (Time: 3:25:27)
Please note: Due to an issue with Donald's audio, his track sounds a little... odd. We do apologize for any concerns and steps have been taken to ensure no issues in the future. So what happens when you have one listener mailer send a lot of feedback on every episode you've ever done? Well, you throw an audible and bring him on the show. It really helps that Thomas Robertson, our most consistent emailer ever, also happens to be Donald's current roommate, so getting him set up was a snap.
For
New Business, Stephen leads off with the lagamorph murder simulator
Xenoblade 3D, in which we suggest a new strategy: Let the CPU tank. After that, Stephen actually outsourced his play of the
Mario Kart 8 DLC to young Zane - thankfully, the rest of the crew has gotten to plaid. Donald quickly covers off his review games in the form of
Ultimate Angler,
Battleground Z and
Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker, then it's Thomas's turn. After the contractually obligated
Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate update, he tortures Donald with
Metroid: Other M, stumbles across a Game With Gold in
Castlestorm (played on Wii U) and gets demonic on his own with the perpetually discounted
Shin Megami Tensei IV. Austen got into some of the DLC for
The Evil Within and the
Borderlands Handsome Collection, but his major game is a game that Thomas is familiar with, and has received high praise on the show before. Like #3 on a GOTY list.
Whatcha Watchin gets the superheroics out of the way early with Stephen having seen
Avengers 2: Age of Ultron immediately prior to recording. Donald has an announcement about future segments, while Thomas revels in wanton destruction by asking one of the obvious questions:
Will It Blend? Austen finishes with the Playstation Network's non-union superhero equivalent series in
Powers and dips into an old enemy for some
Sword Art Online, before finishing with another round of
Farscape.
Of course, we can't have Thomas on and not deal with a huge backlog of
Listener Mail. Among the topics broached: Who's worse between Square and Sony, just what the deal with the podcast countdown is, and what Metroid game Donald would play at the required gunpoint. By this point, Stephen's recorder was running out of space so it's a hurry-up offense in the
Mushrooms, which include TEH URN, a Konami update and Donald being able to do his job while Stephen takes a quick spin.
Although it won't guarantee you a spot on the show, we'd love it if you sent some listener mail or other feedback in - you can tweet us or drop an email, or even leave a comment below. Be sure to check out Thomas on
Twitter and the
Streetpass Halifax group as well!
