Curious. Does the AI become more aggressive once you get past the A class races at the very beginning of the game? I saw videos of someone unlocked the B races but didn't see them do one. I assume it continues in that fashion, C, D, etc.

Can't believe I overlooked this. I have a number of people already added that were apart of my Wii U and 3DS friends list. However if anyone is interested here is my code.

I hope Lego City wins. I love that game and I don't think I ever heard anyone on the podcast talked about it in any detail. It's honestly one of my top 10 Wii U games quite easily and very high on my game of of the generation list if I were to make one. It hits all the right notes at the right amounts.

Have to say I like what I'm seeing here. Depending on how long you can extend matches might determine if I pick this up. The lack of online multiplayer of any kind outside of ghost and even then those are for some sports is disappointing. Seeing as there are no Mario sports games on the Wii U outside of the hugely disappointing Mario Tennis I might pick this up to have an entry on the Wii U. I got a lot of time out of Mario Tennis and Mario Golf on the 3Ds. Granted those had online but even without that I had a lot of fun with them.

If I can get a lot of time out of the soccer, volleyball, and maybe rugby it might be worth the pick up if it's not full price.

Wouldn't be surprised if it was related to the Nintendo Account system. They never gave a date I believe for the Americas. The March date was for Australia and that part of world I think.

I'm increasing enjoying how the world is setup. Most game worlds are clearly designed for the player in regard to how they'll go from A to B, etc. While some of that is present here it increasingly feels you are entering the territory of these creatures and that they've staked out their own corner of an area.  You have some just grazing and others that seems like they're actively patrolling their borders.  The npcs actually talks about this and how you really are forcing these creatures out of their habitats. It's one thing to say it though and another for the game world to actually reflect that and to make you feel that really is the case.

I really like that in order to get to some areas you have to sneak pass or rush pass some creatures. I like to imagine it as if they've found a good and dry spot and were strong enough to take it and keep it from all the other creatures in the area. So you have to go through their territory to get where you need to go and back to creatures that are more your level. Love stuff like this.

Working towards being abel to start chapter 6 at the moment.

Hoping the collector's edition gets listed soon.

TalkBack / Re: Newest Smash Brothers DLC Character Announced
« on: November 12, 2015, 08:34:47 PM »
Minds were blown tonight. Happy to see this addition but it certainly makes met think that the NX is very likely getting if not at least the Final Fantasy 7 Remake after it comes out on the PS4 (they're getting it first I believe) but also Final Fantasy 15 as well.

I say at least 7 because Cloud shines a massive spotlight on that game and helps nurture a interest in that game's lead character. Cloud outside of appearing as a npc in a few other games has never stared in any game on a Nintendo system since the N64 version of Final Fantasy 7 was canceled and moved to the PlayStation 1. There is no other real prerequisite for the character's appearance on Nintendo hardware which all other 3rd party characters have had. Maybe Cloud can be seen as the mascot for Final Fantasy in general but they specified Final Fantasy 7 itself. Even then as a Mascot on Nintendo systems someone from FF4 or FF6 would make more sense then Cloud. So that Remake has to becoming. We know Square Enix already let the cat out of the bag in regard to Dragon Quest 11. If that's coming to the NX then 7 Remake and just maybe 15 wouldn't be that crazy.

I was waiting for more information regarding the game and what has come out tells me there is no point in buying this game if you already own Mario Tennis Open. I do own that game. Even if you don't buying the 3DS is a better purchase in terms of content it seems. Now the online might be better on the Wii U but the price being asked is to much for the content you get when there is a clear alternative if you also have a 3DS. If you don't then you just have to decide if the asking price is okay.

TalkBack / Re: Disney Infinity 3.0 (Wii U) Hands-on Preview

It's sounding like the performance is similar to 1.0. WHere things might be okay in the playset but problems were huge in the Toybox. Which is really what I wanted to know as I found the performance of 1.0 on the Wii U to be unacceptable. I haven't touched it since and the only reason why I'm not more pissed by that is that when it was picked it up there was a really good sale that was taking place that day and wasn't charged anywhere close to the full price. Still sucks though. That's why I took a pass on 2.0 and it's looking like I'll have to take a pass on 3.0 as well.

This is the third version. Why can't they make a game that runs well!?

Actually is it searchable. You have to type "Xenoblade Chronicles X Special Edition" and it shows the standard edition and the special edition as the first two results.

It was up for a few hours after it was announced. I guess it sold so well it's now the #1 best selling Wii U game and is the current #3 best selling game out of all games on Amazon.com. It was #1 earlier in the day but it's sure to drop since since they're sold out now.

I do hope it shows up in Best Buy and GameStop. If it shows up in GameStop I'll get it from there and cancel my Amazon order so I can have it that much sooner. I can then pick it up after work when it comes out.

When it comes to music it's likely not completely in Nintendo's power. They had an outside composer, Hiroyuki Sawano, do the music and it's attached to a record label. Defstar Records and Sony Music Marketing in Japan. Just going by anime that can be a pain to license outside of Japan at times. The contract likely only included use of the music in the game itself. Maybe they could only swing the sampler. The actual sound track is 55 songs across 4 CDs. A record label is going to want to make money off that and not allow that to be given away for free.

15
I agree though I'd much prefer the full soundtrack then the sampler but that likely could make the price higher. I do wonder if they'll even make that available outside of Japan.

16
I would say art books alone can be pretty pricey. They can easily be $20/$30 for around 100 pages and that might be on the low end depending on the type of art.  Matted art cards as well can go for around a similar price. Price we're looking at a decent deal with everything together.

17
Lack of online is such a shame. I'm finding the game pretty interesting but now I have to decide if this will be a deal breaker. A lot of the fun seems like it would be in battling other players. Just how I imagine how some of the latest Gundam games are really fun when  you are playing other players and in those you can build your suits as well.

TalkBack / Re: Report: Nintendo of America Passing On Devil's Third
« on: July 09, 2015, 08:24:56 PM »
Both NoE and NCL are treating this game as a contractual obligation at this point, though.

NCL: Game is Amazon exclusive (when the hell does ANYTHING get a retail exclusive in Japan) for physical copies.
NoE: Only localizing the game into English instead of all the European languages.

That does speak volumes. It still goes back to why they even agreed in the first place.

If the quality of the game is the issue then why wasn't it an issue last year. It's not like this suddenly was found out. Did they not know what they were spending their money on before it was shown at E3 last year? Did they not look at what was being done before agreeing to put their name on it? Is Nintendo as a whole that incompetent these days!?

If the game is bad then it's bad. If it is as bad as reported then I wouldn't have bought it. We'll know for sure when reviewers start reporting their impressions soon if the July 15 date is true.  I wanted to at least have the option to decide for myself because I DO NOT trust Nintendo of America's judgement on what should and should not be released. I do not trust Nintendo of America's judgement on what appeals to people when it comes to games that aren't normally from Nintendo. They are the ones that refused to release Xenoblade, The Last Story, and Pandora's Tower. They are the ones that decided there wasn't a market and their releases proved t them wrong.

I'm waiting to see what the gameplay is really like. However visually the game looks like trash and that's best way I can express my opinion when it comes to what I'm seeing.

There it is. Armature. That's not a positive name drop at all. Their track record hasn't been good on Nintendo platforms. Sony platforms on the other hand sure. So not only will a Wii U version come if 3 million is hit, and that's a claim that might not actually be delivered on based on past kickstarters and it's being done by a questionable at best or a straight up bad developer worse. Nope. That does not at all make want to put any money down towards this.

Until I can order directly from them anything Nintendo says are empty words. Direct ordering is the only way people are going to reasonably get the amiibos they want even if they have to wait. Most people do not have time to constantly refresh websites or wait outside stores for the chances they might get something. Locals store can't be counted on to order enough of something or it at all. If they are going to be pushing these with every game the current situation is completely and utterly unacceptable.

I'm at a point now due to not being able to get some of the amiibo I really wanted, because they happen to be the rare ones, my interest in the product line overall is just lessening. I don't have the time to put in to get close to get a Robin, Lucina, etc. I count myself lucky that I got a Shulk and almost didn't get that due to how gamestop was acting. Since this isn't easy for me to just put in an order and get what I want I just stopped paying attention and I've stopped tried to get figures. I'm not going to push myself to adjust for Nintendo's incompetence.

GameXplain and IGN both have analysis videos up. GameXplain's is as usually very informative. The IGN one is surprisingly decent this time around. Both are over 20 minutes long.
