Yeah, Big Blue is great for racing. Its like do do dododo do do dododo **fast**dododododo/fastdo do do do dod o do do do dodo d nar nar nar nar nar do do doo do doo doo doo **insert midi gitaur** Anyway, I'm really looking forward for F-Zero GC. Amusment Visions seems to be doing the series justice, and the graphics are astounding. I just hope the gameplay holds up.

your do do's are right on man! i hummed them and it sounded just like the games music,

as for the arcade control i hope its like all space type game controls in the arcade with the two handles for your hands on each side and half circles connecting them on top and bottom
like this:
__
(__)

as for the chum who asked about 30 racers being in the game, that would make sense,
since the N64 version featured 30...

Nintendo Gaming / why dosnt nintendo...

for some of us online gaming is the only source of multiplaying

friends move away, others dont play videogames
youre left in solitude, so online is your only source for multiplay

plus you get to play people from all over the country,
and people of high skill level in each game

and generally online has more modes of play

i for one absolutely love online gaming, in a few weeks ill be putting my ps2 online
id much rather it be nintendo though.... *sniff sniff*

curr playin metroid prime, metroid fusion, tactics ogre knight of lodis, zelda WW

I waited and my wishes were not fulfilled...
what wishes were those?
simply that mario kart and f zero would be online
just 2 games...thats all i wanted...
but NOOOOOOOOO, nintendo is being stubbornly old fashioned...
that is about the harshest thing ive said about them because i love them
but i can't understand why they wont do anything online
it seems to me they included the broadband and modem adapters simply for
3rd party games... i cant believe it

how much money would they lose by having two games online?
they would make money on the adapters and they could even offer
exclusive add ons (for small $) to the games from their networks, i just dont understand it
i dont even know for sure now if its just a cost concern... i digress GRRRRRRRRRRRr

currently playin metroid prime, metroid fusion, tactics ogre knight of lodis, and zelda  wW

Nintendo Gaming / The Gamecube -- it's great!
« on: April 24, 2003, 12:50:37 PM »
my friend bought xbox about a year and a half ago,
he always told me within the last year that gamecube is going out of business,
however within the last year he always told me xbox S$$*s and has no good games,
but he continued to tell me gamecube was going under,
well last night he saw pics of mario kart DD and now he tells me once he makes some
money this summer hes Definitely buying a gamecube! i was very happy to hear that since I've
been happy with my Cube since the first day I had it,
on top of that, now he's begging me to come visit him (the state bordering mine, CT- to MA)
so he can play Zelda...
I guess once you experience the magic of mario zelda and the rest of the gang you can't leave them behind... HAIL THE CUBE!

currently playing Zelda WW, metroid fusion, metroid prime, nhl 2003

Nintendo Gaming / The answer to watching DVDs when you own GC
« on: April 24, 2003, 12:32:57 PM »
lets think for a second... you own a gamecube only (not myself hehe) and you want to watch DVD movies... so what do u do... you go out and buy a dvd player!
heres the scenario:

buy gamecube-          $150       buy gamecube-          $150
buy cheap dvd player- $70       buy good dvd player- $150
total cost-                   $220      total cost-                   $300

buy ps2- $200
buy xbox- $200 (plus the cost of the dvd remote to watch movies...)

when it comes down to it, you can get a gamecube and a dvd player for the same price as the xbox dvd player, if for example you buy a ps2, you might save 20 dollars but as all us ps2 owners know the sound from the dvd movies on the ps2 is flawed... music is way loud, voices are way hard to hear...
LAstly, if you opt for the good dvd player in addition to your GC, you might not save money, but you get a damn fine dvd player... case closed

currently playing zelda WW, metroid fusion, metroid prime, waverace BS

Nintendo Gaming / Mario Kart Discussion (TALK ABOUT MARIO KART HERE)

What the heck are Nintendo thinking????? Its generally accepted that the SNES and GBA versions of Mario Kart were much much better than the N64 version. Yet what do they give us? A game which is clearly based on the N64 version. Big wide tracks, including those city based ones, and they've even gone as far as to remove the go-karts. What made the original title so much fun was that you raced on pretty tight and twisty go-kart tracks. In 150cc mode it was a challenge to get around the track at full speed and required much hopping and sliding to stay on the track. Battle modes too were an art, with well timed red shell "boomeraning back down the adjacent passage into your opponents path. It was a beautiful balanced game. This was lost in the N64 version, where many tracks lost the sense of speed, tracks were too wide so it took less skill to navigate them, and the battle mode maps were pretty poor in comparison to the playability of the SNES version. Along comes GBA version and is universally acclaimed. It redeems the license. Mario Kart is once again great. All Nintendo needed to do was take the exact same levels and gameplay mechanics, and stretch them up vertically on the z-axis to make them 3d, whilst keeping the dimensions the same. The slap on some nice pretty textures, and bingo.. perfect Mario Kart in a real 3d world instead of pseudo 3D mode 7. Do they? No. They give us a sequel to MK64, and its back to dire arcade racing targetted at kids. All I wanted was full screen 4 player MK from the GBA brought upto date on the GC. That would sell in droves, whereas this, I fear, will not. MK64 was a disappointment, and I'd bet this will be too. Depressing.

first of all how is it generally accepted that the snes and gba mario karts are better when they sold millions of copies less than the N64 version?
second- the big wide tracks were made that way so you could use the new powersliding technique properly, and it was a huge step up in gameplay....Seesh did you ever use the powersliding?
third- they did not remove the go karts, they just made different style ones that correspond to the characters.

the new innovation in gameplay is that you control 2 characters...one drives and one uses powerups...
while changing them on the fly, you can get the difference in handling of the cart with the 2nd character and you can switch back and forth to use each of the characters 8 exclusive powerups... the strategy of this new gameplay innovation will make the game amazing...and tons more fun...AND it will require lots of thinking....making it far far far from being a game for kids.... i rest my case...MKGC will be so Amazing i am ready to fly to japan to buy their version... yes fly, not import...this game will be far and away the best GC period!

currently playing waverace blue storm, metroid prime, zeldaWW, nhl 2003, GTA vice city
