Does anyone know if this is an international release or just a US release?  Or if Disney will be putting restrictions from world wide access?  Because I would be interested in this service much more than Netflix and I would subscribe if it is accessible in Korea.

Disney revealed its plans for a "worldwide" rollout touching all of the "major" regions in North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific and Latin America over the next couple of years. It doesn't sound like it will touch Netflix's actual worldwide ability that skips only a few countries, but should reach most of the larger markets by 2021.

Not quite the specific answer, but they are launching worldwide being a bit vague about specifics currently.

The claim that all Disney movies will be on the service seems... questionable.

Will Song of the South be available?

The entire library was confirmed at a March shareholders meeting.

Quote from: Engadget link=https://www.engadget.com/2019/03/07/disney-plus-entire-movie-library/
"The service, which I mentioned earlier is going to launch later in the year, is going to combine what we call library product, movies, and television, with a lot of original product as well, movies and television. And at some point fairly soon after launch it will house the entire Disney motion picture library, so the movies that you speak of that traditionally have been kept in a 'vault' and brought out basically every few years will be on the service," said Iger during the meeting.

But that specific language seems to have been left out of today's discussion, and I can't find anything that says if they answered that specific question.

Edit: I didn't watch the full 3.5 hour video, but I've been reading along with releases and things.  Not sure if any reliable source said today that the full vault was going to be released.

Great question. The last time I watched that was in 4th grade math class.

The Simpsons moving to this is interesting, because the only way to legally stream it before required a cable login. Does Disney+ show ads? I never used the FX app to watch Simpsons episodes even though I had access to it because of the ads, so I stuck with my DVD rips.

Can I just pay $700 for lifetime membership?
or a 10yr membership.... so I can avoid the eventual continual price raise yearly after the 3rd year?

Netflix, D+ & Hulu* seems to be my (paid) streaming future

*I assume Hulu will come with a D+ paired discount, and I'll obviously need both get the best of all of Disney/Fox content

Glad it is ad free. That's a big deal for me. Had planned on just doing D+ and Netflix, but if the price is right on that bundle I may add Hulu to the mix. We already let our Prime membership expire to save money, so not super keen on adding yet another subscription to the mix.

Just read some of the casting and Tessa Thompson as Lady in Lady & the Tramp sounds amazing. Odd it is only coming to D+ and not theaters. Makes me wonder if they realize not all of their rehashed animated films will have the desired audience pull in theaters.

Could also be that with the acquisition of Fox, they are beginning to saturate the film market. Hopefully this leads to a "Disney Renaissance" of TV output.

And that full lineup is rather diverse. Lots of good stuff, and some lesser known/loved classics that are perfect fodder for "what to watch?" evenings where you just throw something up to chill with.

Ducktales and Goof Troop, but no Chip N Dale, Gargoyles, Darkwing Duck, Tale Spin, or Gummi Bears. Hopefully those come soon because OG Disney Afternoon was great.

They did originally mention that D+ would be offered in Hulu bundle.
Main reason why I signed up for the $1 a month Hulu package deal a few months ago.

I'm sure they gotta save something for that second wave of advertising/memberships to get those that didn't come in the initial rush.

$7/month is tough to argue against, especially with the library of kids content i'd expect, and the whole Simpsons library?!? (My wife and I are slowly doing a watch of the earlier seasons since she's never sat down and watched it)....I'll be signing up day-one.

Another interesting tidbit is that Feige said they have 10years worth of behind the scenes stuff that will eventually become an MCU Docu-series on D+

edit: I'm playing catch up here :)

Finally.... #itsallconnected (but for real this time)
Hopefully AoS comes to D+ for that infinite renewal and playtime in the MCU playbox
https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/marvels-kevin-promises-major-storylines-disney-shows-1200815

ALl the D+ shows will certainly be cannon, and may directly take place between movies.

...about that Lifetime subscription.....
or atleast let me pay for a 10yr renewal upfront. LOL
...an extra $3 a month for lifetime grandfathering of my account?

I feel like Disney is going for the get the audience first and undercut the competition.  I think 7.99 is a great introductory price, and when Disney releases to the world and has a large enough marketshare they could raise it to 9.99 or not, because they have enough money in subscriptions months to fund all their programs.  Honestly, I already like how Disney is treating their shows like a European model.  Tell the story and get out.  6 episode miniseries is great, and it is a great way to tell stories with characters people love that may or may not be featured in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as much anymore.

Disney has made enough money off of Marvel alone to take that kind of risk.  Plus, Disney has a lot to offer with Fox and Disney properties.  Honestly Disney should have one single app and like people have said, allow it to be set up with profiles that offer everything.  But I guess that isn't the strategy.  They could have separate apps but only one single subscription then content could be separated if they really want.

It's version of Dumbo will also have the Jim Crow scene deleted.
