Podcast Discussion / Re: PODCAST: Radio Free Nintendo: Episode 100

I'm re-listening to this episode again (because it's boring during downtime here at work)and i have to say that Subspace Emissary doesn't suck. You play it once and you forget about it. It's like the piece of gum that you are chewing while holding a chocolate bar: once you take it out of your mouth, don't bother chewing on it again because it won't taste as great. Besides, i think SSE is meant for people who do not want to play a 100 multiplayer games just to unlock a character or something like DDRMax for PS2. I'd rather just play through SSE to get the majority of characters and then jump into the net and play other people. My connection has been consistently decent and playable despite the fact that i have 3 computers and 2 game systems connected at all times.

The puzzles in this game are really good. Not obviously easy but not too hard that you have to pick up a pen and paper. I agree with the rating of this game but i would add the antagonist in the cons area. It feels like he's placed there without any reason and he annoys me more than anything in the game (even with his very limited time under the spotlight). He's like wacko jacko in an elementary school: he has no business being there.

YES! a new rabbids game! i love the rabbids games because they are perfect stress relievers. Plus, i'm looking forward to the trailers for this new game. Rabbids 1 had the scientific facts advertisements and Rabbids 2 had Rabbids around the world. But i don't understand why they need to attach the Rayman name to it tho.

Settlers and it's expansion set is an awesome game... oh man this is taking me back during my last few years in university... we (as in the university's games organization) would have a couple of people playing settlers and magic or any card games on one table inside the school pub and on the far corner of the pub where there's a TV, smash brothers melee and alot of smack talking.

i'm curious, do you guys normally mock each other (in good fun) during podcast breaks?

Excellent job on the 100th episode. You guys rock! but what's up with all the hate for Magic the Gathering? I think it's a really interesting albeit expensive game. It doesn't create a new mechanic and then completely develop another mechanic to completely trash the previous one (at least i don't remember it doing so) unlike other card games *cough*wwerawdeal*cough*

After listening to the podcast for the 5th time since monday, it got me thinking: the whole metroid series has alot of potential beyond the Prime trilogy. I have not finished Metroid yet because I suffer from motion sickness when i play that game and am taking it by stride. But the fact that Samus does not have any arch enemy like Bowser is to Mario not only gives the writers more creative freedom (as in, they could end the game in shroud of vagueness and flow it towards the second game) but also makes it possible to flow another story after the Prime Trilogy. That got me thinking, would the Legend of Zelda be better off without Ganon/Ganondorf? because i find that the Metroid story is more like a relationship while recent Zelda games are more like one-night stands.
