"Who are You?" Edition GBA SP Coming
« on: September 16, 2004, 06:00:28 PM »
More Special Edition GBA love for the US.

While Nintendo has not officially announced anything, Walmart.com is listing a special limited edition Game Boy Advance SP. The system is colored Onyx and is emblazoned with the "Who are You?" logo Nintendo has recently been using to promote their games and systems. Also, the system uses light grey buttons instead of the standard dark grey ones used on the Onyx model system.

It's unknown when this "Who are You?" Game Boy Advance SP will be released to the general public. There is also no telling if this system will be an exclusive to Walmart stores or not. Here's a picture of the limited edition system.

So, that's the American counterpiece to the Tribal SP?
On another note, NoE announced GBASP bundles for Minish Cap (gold GBA) and Mario vs. Donkey Kong (Mario Style GBASP, no idea what that means)

Wow a GBA to commemorate my least favourite Nintendo ad campaign ever!  Let's just roll out the "clean is better than dirty" Mario Sunshine GBA while we're at it.

Why would anyone want to buy a GBA based on an ad campaign slogan?  This isn't even a cool ad campaign.  If I was going to buy an ad slogan GBA I would rather have "Now you're playing with power" or "The best play here".

Hell why is Nintendo even making more SP designs when the DS is supposed to come out this year?  They're just going to piss off ignorant SP buyers who buy a really cool colour design only to see the NEW Gameboy (which is what the DS will be viewed as, third pillar talk aside) in stores a week later.

Everywhere I go, People are always asking me "Who are you?" The last thing I need is my Game Boy asking me that.

Man, now I almost regret buying the Classic NES GBA SP (although I don't... that thing's a piece of history).  Because that GBA above just looks mighty sexy.
