The news is there is a 90 day pause on tariffs on all the listed countries except China. Which, was 75 countries. I'm not sure where all of Switch 2's are being manufactured currently, but I sort have expected companies to switch their supply chains after 2020 away from China. At least that is what many companies were doing. According to a google search Nintendo diversified and started making some of its supply chain in Vietnam and Cambodia. So, we might be out of the woods at least for 90 days. I expect Vietnam will woo the administration in the long term. They have been geostrategic US partners.
Nintendo of Canada just announced that Canadian pre-orders are being delayed as well. Not that I was going to get a Switch 2 at launch anyway but it sure sucks that our country, for which the tariffs do not apply, is also having its pre-order delayed.
So does the price go up for us too? It's already $700 for the Mario Kart bundle! I see pre-orders for games that are $100. They go even higher and they might as well not release the damn thing in Canada.
Oh and a sequel to Kirby Air Ride directed by Sakurai was not something I had on my bingo card. Especially since he literally left HAL after the development of the first game, many speculated the troubled development of that game contributed. I guess either the development of the original wasn't as bad as some thought or even if it was, Sakurai really wants to make a sequel to that game with the idea's he couldn't do at the time or new idea's he's thought up since. Seriously, I doubt Nintendo or HAL would have approached him to make this game since the original wasn't exactly a massive hit, so Sakurai himself must have really wanted to do this, and after the massive success of Smash Ultimate, they'll give him a blank check for anything. Similar to how they let him make Kid Icarus Uprising after Brawls success.
Switched over to the regular theme. I had no idea this was an issue without looking on Discord in the Mafia Dead Server. If you haven't already done so Khushrenada post about it in the main NWR Discord.
I have. It's come up a couple times in there but it's not something that's exactly easy to sticky or easy to alert the people that would need to know this info. Part of the issue is there doesn't seem to be a way to get a list of the users that are still using it. Even if a list could be made, it's going to be hard to reach those actual users if they aren't on that Discord. Like BlackNMild2k1 is not on the Discord that I can see. I might just try the e-mail on his account to let him know what to do and hope that e-mail still works. If not, I'm not sure what else can be done for him and some other users that would be blocked because of it.
It's been a while since I've seen it myself, but once upon a time Personal Messages on this site generated email notifications. I just checked my email and I have a bunch of 8 year old emails from the site. Perhaps that can be a good way to notify the other users. I find the Discord a rather unpleasant place, myself, so if I was affected I wouldn't likely be using it.

We don't have any real info on that, but it wouldn't surprise me if it's fairly early 2025, similar to how the Switch came out in early March. But with the Switch still selling well at the current price there's no real reason for Nintendo to drop it right now.
