Most Likely. Nintendo already knows people want HD. This site will do nothing.

I would actually rather see HDD support than HD support. My eyesight is bad, and I'm satisfied with lower resolutions anyway.

I remember some story on slashdot or dslreports or a site like that, that Nintendo will be using some one button security configuration thing. Belkin maybe, I don't remember which brand. This is probably what they mean by approved routers.

TalkBack / RE: Revolution Wireless To Be Provided By Broadcom
« on: April 19, 2005, 01:47:44 PM »
I have a broadcomm wireless chipset in this laptop. And it would seem illogical for xbox 360 to use RF if it uses wireless controllers. What about the xbox live headset? Hopefully, these won't use the 2.4ghz range. (Can they even do that with already using it for wireless connectivety? Maybe on another channel, but there might be a lot of interference.)

TalkBack / RE: First Homebrew DS Game Created
« on: February 13, 2005, 09:55:40 AM »
I don't think they have the SDK. They got some sort of pass through thing going, but they didn't know exactly how to use DS specific hardware yet, like the mic, wireless connection, and touch screen. At least, last time I checked. And hardly anyone is going to jump through all these hoops to run unofficial code. And most homebrew stuff isn't anywhere near as good as commercial stuff, at least on consoles. There's xbox media center which is vastly superior to xbox media extender, but it's an app, not a game.

Is there still a DS unit shortage? Meijer advertised DSes in their sale. They had 15% off, so I got a DS for less than $130 (w/o tax). Well, it did say something like 30,000 chain wide, and I went in the morning, and I saw 6 or so more.

Hip-hop is good sometimes. A nice thing about the xbox: custom soundtracks. So instead of Burnout 3's soundtrack, I can listen to whatever I want to, which includes various stuff (I've been listening to my Project 86 soundtrack)

EA is kind of ruining the industry, yes. But MS, with xbox and live, is improving video games. Like them of hate them, you have to admit computers wouldn't be what they are today without MS (By that, I mean probably worse). Video gaming probably wouldn't be that much worse off without EA.

Too bad I won't be able to get one. At least, not for a while. Spent all my money on a laptop. And I don't know if I want one until it gets online.

« on: October 27, 2004, 04:21:34 PM »
I didn't really like Metroid Prime. Don't know why, never actually finished it either. I liked Fusion a lot more. One thing Halo and Halo 2 have over Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 2 is multiplayer. Multiplayer in the Halo games includes co-op. Now, how's Metroid Prime 2's multiplayer? I know it actually has multiplayer, unlike the first. A HUGE thing about Halo 2 is Live support. 16 people vs. Echos' 4. Besides that, the two games are two different genres. Personally, I really like Paper Mario 2, and I wouldn't be too surprised if I liked Paper Mario and Halo 2 about the same.

No thanks. I hope the day when Nintendo joins forces with Microsoft (makes games for them) is the day they stop making games. Hmm, familar quoting.

Donkey Konga would have been just as good over warppipe in my opinion, no need for people to pay fees.

When I said it would be perfect for Live, I was refering to paying to download new songs. Instead of having to buy a new disk for more songs, just download them. And try playing Burnout 3 on live and then try to play MKD over warp pipe. I haven't tried it, but I don't think I'd enjoy it. The problem with MKD is that it's very tunnel unfriendly. Playing Nintendo games online (truely designed for online) would be sweet, that's why I'd like Nintendo having at least some online service like Live. I like Xbox for the modding and for the hard drive. My GCN is in sucky condition now. It gets lots of disk reading errors, sometimes it won't even launch a brand new game. And the controllers wear out too easily. They mess up with things like the stick not being centered correctly on startup, forcing me to have to X+Y+Start. I'm not playing Paper Mario 2 right now because it just stops working as I'm playing it. But I'm rambling and these problems may be more specific to me. The Gamcube really needs the new Zelda game. And online.

TalkBack / RE: Acclaim Files Bankruptcy
« on: September 02, 2004, 07:23:00 PM »
What happens to Worms 3D for xbox? Acclaim's bankruptcy is making some people guy it for the gamecube. The burnout games rocked. And worms is good (well, I think armegeddon for the PC will always be best). Of course, those are just games that they published. Tem 17 can hopefully get new publishers, if they haven't already. And Burnout 3 is coming out under EA. Apparently, it got a 10/10 from OXM (higher than Halo? O_o). Wounder what would've happened if Acclaim published it.
EDIT again: Whoops, XBN, not OXM. And I have no idea what they gave Halo. I wonder why Burnout 3 isn't being published for the GCN though.

TalkBack / RE: Pikmin 2 In Hotel Rooms
« on: September 02, 2004, 05:44:08 PM »
Lodgenet, right? They've had that since I believe SNES. I believe on the N64 ones, you could have someone in another room be another controller and get the same TV screen, you know. Multiplayer between rooms, since each room had only one controller.  I just think it worked that way, never actually tried it. Way too expensive.

It looks to be around the same size as the GBA link cable plug, only square. I wouldn't be surprised if they used it to hook up to cellphones and stuff.

Well, it's definentally not ethernet or standard usb. I don't have a GBASP, could that be the same port used by the gbasp headphones? EDIT: I guess not, since the GBASP headphone adapter goes into the power port, which was already known that the DS uses the same kind.

Perhaps it's an ethernet port? That would kind of deafeat the whole portability thing though. Maybe it's a GBA link cable port. Is there a picture?

Microsoft buying Nintendoo would rock! XBOX rocks, GCN rocks. Together, it would rock beyond words.
