What are ya buyin'? What are ya sellin'? Well, some of you might be buying Resident Evil: Revelations, while we'll try to sell you on it being good. Neal Ronaghan, a hapless chap without the game, grills Zach Miller, the lucky sumbitch reviewing it, about the merits of Capcom's portable survival horror game. Wondering how the single-player campaign is? Want to know if Raid Mode is better than Mercenaries? Will Zach make an inappropriate comment about Jill Valentine's ass? Find out all those answers and more on this very special episode of NWR Connectivity.

If you like this launch day special episode, let us know in the Talkback or by e-mailing us at connectivity@nintendoworldreport.com. We can totally do more like this in the future if you all think it's a cool idea.

Yes, it's true: this episode is almost entirely focused on the 3DS. Let's be honest, though; unless you are playing Skyward Sword again, what would your Wii be doing?

The joy of recording news in the beginning of the week meant that last week we missed out on the tasty bits of information that came from Nintendo's earnings briefing. But fret not, True Believers, as Neal, Zach, and Patrick have assembled in order to dissect the most interesting revelaitons... er, revelations, rather.

After that, Andy Goergen returns from dad-hood to talk about the durability of the 3DS with Patrick and Zach. Turns out a lot of the early systems were lemons. Have you had 3DS hardware woes yourself? Tell us about them in the comments!

Closing the show out, Neal, Patrick, and Zach reconvene once more for an eShop recap. What are the some of the standout titles recently digitally released for the plucky handheld? Take a listen to find out!

As always, you can click here to send us mail. Thanks for listening!

Pack it up, pack it in, let me begin... this week's Connectivity show notes. We've got the usual news segment starting things off this week, featuring Patrick, Scott and Zach. I'm sure you'll find it quite newsy indeed.

But the biggie this week is the return of Connectivity Jeopardy (Connectopardy?) It's pretty awesome this week, let me tell you. I don't want to spoil it, but somebody is seriously good at this trivia game about video games.

At the end of the show, Andy and Zach wax poetic on the Playstation 2 duo of Ico and Shadow of the Colossus. The only way to finish this segment it to climb to the top of it, jam your sword into its weak spot, and then feel really bad about the beautiful creature you just murdered for your own selfish desires.

What do you think of this nonsense we call a podcast? Let us know in the comments or by sending us some listener mail to connectivity@nintendoworldreport.com or by posting your thoughts in the comments below the show notes.

You may have heard that Nintendo just released 3DS demos here in the States. We at Connectivity thought this brilliant concept, the "demo," was so good that maybe we should give it a shot, too. So enjoy this demo episode, but be warned that after 12 and 1/3 listens, the demo will expire. It also requires 1350 blocks of free space.

This week's episode is kicked off with some news and listener mail. Scott, Zach, Patrick and Mike each try to glitch the segment and warp to the very end, but alas,it wouldn't work.

After that, we have a very special edition of Famicast Lite, as Danny, Daan, and James come together to spill the beans on the variety of demos already available for the 3DS in Japan. That's right; this demo episode put demos in your demo. Internet meme!

Lastly, Neal, Scott, Mike and Zach debate Swapnote. Is there a cold, calculated, and brooding genius behind Swapnote, or is the damn thing just cumbersome and purposefully difficult? Probably the latter.

You can send us listener mail to Connectivity@nintendoworldreport.com. Better yet, why not send us listener mail through Swapnote? It's a guaranteed way to piss off Neal. And what day isn't made better by pissing off Neal? Enjoy the demo!

We're back again with another brand spankin' new episode of Connectivity, and boy is it a doozy this week. Starting off, Danny, Patrick, Mike, and Zach all give their predictions for 2012. Will we see a new game from Retro? How about the release of Metroid Dread? Mike even throws in a "PreDON'Tion" for good measure. In our second segment, Danny, Neal, Patrick, Scott, and Zach do a roundtable on the latest news and follow that up with a healthy dose of listener mail.
But that's not all. After the regular show, Scott and J.P. have a nice long chat about hockey. You like hockey, right? I sure hope you do.
Feed our mailbag! It's hungry and if you don't send it a letter there is a very good chance it will eat Zach. You can save him from this gruesome fate by emailing connectivity@nintendoworldreport.com.

Just a quick headcount... OK, good. Looks like most everyone survived the holiday bloodlust. Congratulations on making it through another family-filled and travel-heavy holiday season!

This week on Connectivity, the theme is timelessness. First up, Zach and Scott come together to thankfully talk about something they do know a thing or two about: Christmas presents! Yes, it seems that no matter the age, nothing beats gathering around the playground and comparing the quantity and quality of gifts received over Winter break. Hooray middle class America!

The following segment features Pedro, Daan, Josh and that little blue hedgehog who just won't quit. The guys cover both Sonic Generations and Mario and Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games before segueing dangerously close to fanfic territory as they come up with their ideal Mario and Sonic crossover. Perhaps a scene where the two share a chili dog a la Lady and the Tramp? ...And I just puked.

Next up is the mother of all Skyward Sword discussions. Mike, Andrew, and Patrick extensively cover the ins and outs of Link's latest adventure. It should go without saying, but this will be a SPOILER filled chat. So, if you haven't beaten the game yet and don't want to know whether the fire or the water dungeon comes first, skip right along.

After the credits roll, stick around for a bonus conversation about the Doctor's latest Christmas special with Scott, Nicholas, and James. See if the guys give it five out of five Sonic Screwdrivers!

That'll do it for 2011. Did you get some great gifts this Christmas? Or do you have a Christmas past that was chock full of amazing presents? You should click here and send us an email about it. We'll see you... in the FUTURE!

The holidays are upon us, and in the spirit of giving, we at Connectivity are presenting you with a king-sized episode this week! Save the receipt in case it doesn't fit.

Neal sits down by a crackling fire, gaudy Christmas sweater worn proudly, alongside Karl Castaneda and, making his Connectivity debut, Mr. Jonathan Metts! As chestnuts roasts, the boys discuss the history of the Mario Kart series and debate time's oldest mystery: is Double Dash the best entry in the series? Short answer: yes. Long answer: yes, stupid.

From there, Neal, Mike, and Scott hop on a one horse open sleigh and ride through the quiet, nighttime streets of a small snow-adorned town. While on their way, they eagerly discusses Nintendo's gift to all the good boys and girls who bought a 3DS when it was crazy expensive, the GBA Ambassador games! The boys could be heard chanting "old games, old games!" as they went beyond the outskirts of the small town, disappearing behind a shroud a wet, falling snowflakes.

Sitting on the floor in front of the NWR Christmas tree, with legs crossed in front of them, Nicholas Bray and Pedro Hernandez remember fondly the oft-overlooked entry in the Mario Kart series: Super Circuit. Pour yourself a glass of eggnog and enjoy the trip down memory lane.

Bedtime approaches at the NWR household, and as the staff listens intently for the sounds of Santa and his Reindeer landing on the roof with presents in tow, Neal, Scott, Pedro, and Nate Andrews sneak out of bed and play one final game of NWR Jeopardy before their eyes grow heavy in want of sleep.

Enjoy this extra long episode of Connectivity as you make your travels this weekend. Be sure to send us listener mail by clicking here. Have a wonderful holiday, and we'll see you back for our final episode of 2011 next week.

Well, here we are again with another episode of Connectivity for your wonderful little ear-holes. There might have been some big news this week, something about the guy who created Mario Bros (what's his name?) retiring or something. One thing there is surely a lot of is listener mail. There was so much we actually couldn't fit it all in one episode, so we'll be spreading the listener love out over the next few shows.

Also, do you like Pushmo and Michael Jackson? If so, our second segment is perfect for you since we talk about both of those things. And finally, Zach is super pissed about problems he's been having with his Wii and 3DS, so we let him blow off some steam.

Since you love us so much, you should submit more questions by clicking here. You should also review us on iTunes, because that's what real fans do. But only if they have something nice to say! Got it? Good. See you next week.

Instead, we start things off by reading some listener mail from Kytim89, or, as we will now forever refer to him, Kentucky Tim. There's plenty of good Wii U speculation to be had here. Later, we offer news about Resident Evil: Revelations AGAIN, as it appears the game is striving to oust Zelda as the most talked about subject on the podcast. A lofty goal indeed. Also, the 3DS system update got pushed back a week, so if you were itching to send out some 3D pictures and videos of your Fortified Zone to friends, you'll have to wait just a little bit longer.

In the second half of the show, Neal joins Scott to talk about his review for Mario Kart 7 and answer some excellent (and not so excellent) questions submitted by several wonderful listeners.

If you'd like to send in some mail and have us make up a nickname for you, a la Kentucky Tim, you can click here to do so. If you have a minute, why not review us on iTunes, too? We'd be forever grateful. Thanks for listening, we'll see you next week!

Well, what do you know, we are at Episode 10 already! Thanks to everyone who has listened to the show, and here's hoping we can make it another ten successful episodes, after which we'll probably stop the show and reboot it. NWR Blue Ocean, perhaps?

This week, we return back to our usual Connectivity format and start things off discussing Nintendo news. A dash of Wii U's possible online infrastructure, a pinch of Battlefield exclusivity for the GameCube, and - oh shit, the lid fell off of the "Resident Evil: Revelations features a ten hour campaign" shaker and a bunch fell in. Oh well, let's hope no one can tell.

Afterwards, Neal, Pedro and Scott reconvene to celebrate the fifth birthday of the greatest Wii launch title of them all: Excite Truck! Be sure to load up your SD card with music, though; the soundtrack for this segment is godawful.

Lastly, J.P. rounds up James and Jared as the three J's and a P share their impressions of Super Mario 3D Land. Looks like it's the first game to make the 3DS a must-own platform. Hooray!

If you've got listener mail, we've got eyes to read it, so click here to send it in. Thanks again for being with us these first ten episodes, and an extra-special thanks to anyone who participated in the live show last week and donated to Child's Play. It was an absolute success!

Welcome to another episode of Connectivity! We have quite the show for you this week.

Andy, Scott, and Zach get the ball rolling with a conversation about this week's news... which is only that Resident Evil Revelations is going to cost $50. Yowza.

Then, Scott leaves so Andy and Zach can go over Cave Story 3D and how it differentiates itself from the older, less expensive versions already out there.

Later, Danny Bivens joins Scott to go over his latest feature concerning the multitude of expansion ports present on every Nintendo home console from the Famicom to the GameCube. You can read his feature here.

Rounding the episode out (no pun intended) is a discussion about Kirby's Return to Dream Land, featuring Neal, Pedro and Scott. How does the game compare to other recent Kirby games as well as the variety of 2D platformers released for the Wii over the past few years? Listen in and find out!

Hello! This week's episode of Connectivity kicks off with Andy, Mike, and Scott discussing all the information released by Nintendo late last week, a great deal of which is related to the 3DS. Andy also goes into total bummer mode while talking about Nintendo's largest net loss in history.

From there, sights turn towards one of the games that may just help spur 3DS sales this year: Super Mario 3D Land. Daan Koopman recently got to play through the entire game, and he joins Scott to discuss some of its unrevealed elements to this point as well as how it feels on the handheld system.

Closing the show out is our second episode of NWR Connectivity. Neal and Scott host the show as Andy, Mike, Zach and Pedro fight tooth and nail for all those coveted NWR Bucks.

Boy oh boy, do we have quite an episode of Connectivity for you this week! Kicking things off, Nicholas and Andrew discuss what they saw and played at the recent EB Games Expo that made its way to Australia, including a handful of Nintendo's biggest upcoming games.

After that, Neal is joined by Pedro, J.P., and James as they talk about Super Mario Land 2, which just recently became available on the 3DS eShop. Is the quirky platformer worth your four bucks? These fine gentlemen will let you know!

Next up, Danny joins Scott to share his experience at the Legend of Zelda concert in Japan, which he was lucky enough to secure a ticket to. Listen in as Danny talks about the performance as well as the steps he took in creating his Tingle costume for the event.

But wait, there's more! Neal, J.P., and James return once more to talk about the latest 3D Classic, TwinBee! This segment meets the standards of most of the games in the 3D Classics series, meaning that it is a thing that exists. Instant classic.

Lastly, Neal joins up with Jared and Josh to go over Nintendo's showings at this year's New York Comic Con.

Welcome to this week's episode of NWR Connectivity! We decided there wasn't very much news to talk about after last week's TGS-palooza, so instead we have two segments for you today.

In the first, Neal, Scott, James, and Nate get together and talk about the recently-released Kirby Mass Attack for the Nintendo DS. If you have allergic reactions to cute things, stay clear of this game.

After that, James and and Nate stick around to play the very first game of NWR Jeopardy, hosted by Zach and Andy. Wait until you see who takes home all that imaginary money. This segment was a lot of fun, and we will be looking to do another game with listeners playing in the future, so keep your eyes peeled for that!

Has it been two weeks already? Time flies when you take a week off from recording, though that time hasn't been wasted. We've put quite a bit of effort into getting the wheels in motion for this, NWR Connectivity. As you'll hear in the opening moments of the show, this is a brand new podcast aimed at better connecting you fine listeners to Nintendo World Report at large. Gone is the dominion we original Newscast-ies held over the airwaves, meaning any member of the staff is welcome to come on and talk about a topic, as illustrated by this first episode.

The Newscast crew opens things up, talking TGS news no less, before the second segment shifts to a conversation with J.P. Corbran and his acquisition of the ability to see 3D thanks to a surgery he had on the muscles of his eye. His blog on the topic can be found here (and the figure that had Zach distracted can be found here - NSFW). After that, a group of staff members get together and talk about the quality of Star Fox 64 3D and how it compares to the original.

Thanks for being patient with us while we got everything in place for the launch of the podcast. We are all incredibly excited about this new show format and what is possible with it. Thank you for joining us for this, the inaugural episode.

Oh, and we have a new fancy email address! We can be reached at Connectivity@nintendoworldreport.com. Be sure to send us some mail!

Yes, it's true: this is the final episode of the Newscast. Fret not, however, for this is not the end entirely. Much like the Doctor, the show will regenerate into something new and familiar all at once. We are taking next week off to get all the little details nailed down, and to allow Neal to go and have his honeymoon (send him congrats on twitter @nron10), but in two weeks NWR Connectivity will emerge all shiny and new and ready for your listening pleasure.

But before all that, episode 69! This week, we talk about the much-besieged 3DS and the new second circle pad as well as Dragon Quest X and Nintendo's bold move into an unknown frontier: the Internet! After that, the conversation steers towards the Ambassador games: Zelda II is great/awful, Yoshi needs cookies, and Metroid's password system is fascinating. Winding things down, we say goodbye to Newscast and talk a little bit about the new show, NWR Connectivity.

You can still send us listener mail to newscast@nintendoworldreport.com, and we'll be sure to read it on the new show!

Thanks for everything, guys. We can't wait to share the new show with you. See you in two weeks!

We've got a small but sweet cast this week of Neal, Andy, and Scott. The three discuss the full slate of now available NES games for 3DS Ambassadors at length. Other topics covered include release dates and product info for The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Professor Layton and The Last Spectre, Tetris: Axis, and a few more. There's also a bit of discussion on GameStop's anti-consumer practices, and last week's 3DS Virtual Console release, Gargoyle's Quest.

The rumor mill is really going wild lately, with talk of a second Circle Pad attachment on the 3DS to keep up with the built-in second Circle Pad on a brand new 3DS redesign! On top of that, there are reports that the Wii U controller just isn't cutting it with developers. Is all of this talk way too premature, or crazy? Perhaps!

Also, we get talk from Neal on all things Kirby, news from Gamescom, Listener Mail, and much much more in this latest episode of NWR Newscast.

<itunes:summary> This week, Andy returns from a slight case of the bubonic plague and joins Mike, Scott and Zach to talk about... well, a whole mess of things. First up, there's actually a little news! Nintendo has added four new games to their "Nintendo Selects" line, while Sony, too, is playing the price drop game, bringing the black obelisk down to a manageable $250. No word on when this price will be too much for consumers and Sony will initiate a rewards program for early adopters. Anyway, if you've been in a coma since 2005, this is news you can use!

After the news, the guys discuss what they've been playing, with such topics as: Let's Golf 3D, Mario's Picross, Final Fantasy Three Six, Tetris DS, Phineas and Ferb: Across the Second Dimension, Doctor Who and Star Trek. Check out Doctor Octoroc's awesome 16-bit Doctor Who intro here.

Finally, it's time for Metroid. Each game in the series gets a little time as the group talks about first discovering the series and which game is their favorite. Would you believe that Zach feels that Metroid Pinball is the definitive Metroid game?*

Enjoy this extra-long episode (for his and her pleasure) and be sure to email us at newscast@nintendoworldreport.com with your fondest Metroid memories or thoughts about Doctor Who.

<itunes:summary>With Neal back this week, the show opens with a discussion of a few of his favorite N64 games. If you thought to yourself after listening last to week's episode, "Yeah, but what about Buck Bumble and Ken Griffey Jr. Baseball?" then you are in luck! We also discover that Donkey Kong 64 wasn't the only game that played a rap upon being booted up. This one is actually kind of good, too.

After that, we jump straight to the 3DS. First, we remind you, in a timely manner I might add, to make sure you get online for the Ambassador program if you haven't already, as enrollment just ended a few days ago. If you didn't already get online and you are short a TARDIS, we apologize.

From there, it's games new and old, with a little complaining about navigating the eShop sprinkled in for good measure. Call of Duty, Let's Golf 3D, and Antipole make up the bulk of the conversation before we all shift focus to the glory of Mario's Picross. Learn surefire ways to lose your job during this informative segment!

And also, a story from Mike about a GBA he owns that was decorated by pro-surfer Kelly Slater. You can see pictures of it on the podcast if you're subscribed to the AAC feed. This week, the Newscast boys strap on their recollection caps and fondly look back at the Wii over its nearly-five year life span. From E3 giddiness to post-launch disappointment, the crew discusses a wide array of success and failure, surprise and dismay. Join them as they traverse the peaks and valleys of the Wii's existence with hopes of arriving at some sort of zen-like understanding of the little white box's purpose. Spoiler warning: Wii Music doesn't even get mentioned!

The gang also throw on their prediction monocles and answers a reader's question about whether or not the Wii U and 3DS can ever live up to their progenitors' commercial successes.

But fret not, there are games to be discussed as well! For example, Ghost Trick, which is only six months old! What's that, too new you say? Then you'll certainly enjoy some talk about Wind Waker and the Gameboy's Qix, which has just been released on Virtual Console.

This week on the NWR Newscast, we take a close look at the demise of a few storied franchises: Guitar Hero and Tony Hawk. We analyze the decisions, and give our thoughts on what it means for the music genre.

Also on this week's episode, Zach talks about a game he's really enjoying on the PS3: Dead Space 2, and how that ties back to Dead Space Extraction.

Neal and Andy recently started playing No More Heroes 2, so that comes into the picture as well. Neal also has gotten ahold of the Rock Band 3 Squier guitar, and is itching to talk about it.

And had you heard there was a new Dragon Quest game coming out? Nathan's been playing it an awful lot lately, and has many many things to say about it.
