Jon was stuck at work this week, but Karl stepped in to save the day! And he's got brand new games to talk about, too. Karl drops fresh impressions for the latest 3DS digital release, Pushmo, as well as Infinity Blade 2 for some other download platform. Jonny reports on happy times playing Mario Kart 7 with the NWR community and sad times playing the stale, busted Grand Prix mode. James wraps up Zelda and spends more time than you'd expect on Fishing Resort, the latest weird release from Prope and XSEED. Finally, Greg shares his thoughts on the secret level in Super Mario 3D Land, the last hours of Batman: Arkham City, and a few Virtual Console updates (for Japan and Europe, of course).

After the break, we succumb to the deluge of Nintendo news by discussing Miyamoto's quasi-retirement, Xenoblade's belated American release, and a game-breaking glitch in Skyward Sword. We even reserved a little time at the end for a pair of listener emails on imitating the Wii U tablet  and the role of cursing in gamer culture. We're always accepting more of those great emails -- click here to send yours!

Also, check out the beta version of that Castaneda-written Facebook game, OJO Agent.

I would be great if Greg could read out some of the best Fake Leahy Tweets of your choice on the next RFN.

Haha! I would love that.

I guess that SP stuff is the reason I didn't like Mario Kart post Super, SMK didn't give the AI the regular items and that meant much less bullshit going on. Also red shells were less fire-and-forget, they could only hit when they had the proper opportunity and judging the limits of their ability was a skill in itself.

Miyamoto's "retirement" may be him wanting to reverse the Peter Principle for himself. He was promoted so much that he got spread so thin that he couldn't help the projects much anymore.

Eff Dry Bowser

I don't swear like a sailor offline because I played video games - in fact, I tend to stick to T-and below stuff where it doesn't come up. I swear because both of my parents are retired military, and they worked in Carlin's 7 words the way some people work with watercolors or granite.

It amazes me that Greg managed to go from 0 social media presence to no less than 5 Twitter accounts inside of a week.

I discussed a certain renamed Kojima game yesterday and despite the utter revoltion we both felt at the name, nobody swore. I do think I might have suggested Kojima is 200% more insane than his handlers realize.

Revengeance has to the funniest/worst subtitle I've seen since the Badman games on PSP. Considering Platinum is at the helm, I'll take it laughing. I really enjoyed their sense of humor in all their games. Besides, it sure one-ups Transfarring.

Heed my words, we haven't heard the worst word mash pun from Kojima yet.

Matt Walker and I recently had a Twitter back-and-forth about REVENGEANCE* sounding like the name of a wrestling pay-per-view.

"This Sunday at REVENGEANCE, Lindy vs. The Box Hunter in a steel cage match! Watch them settle the ultimate grudge!"

*Must be spelled in all caps.

I know.
I saw.
It made me ill.

There is literally nothing redeeming about that name.
