Did you like the third game? Let your fellow listeners know in TalkBack! Think you've got a better choice? Then send it my way and your request might be on the next episode of Radio Trivia: Podcast Edition!  Heck, throw in a question and specific songs if you want.  Just remember, it has to be a game found on a Nintendo system in North America (unless we say otherwise)!

For those curious, this episode's title, which refers to Birdo, works at both a common parlance and a literal level. (Definitions 1 & 3)

It's not updated with the DKCR material yet (where Cranky is again the grandfather -- though there's a small hint that DKCR Cranky could even be DKC DK), but it's a pretty good indication that yes, you shouldn't waste your time worrying about it.

And here's one for Birdo (Pedro was correct):

The return of Pedro!

One thing I really enjoyed about Buster Busts Loose! is it's gameplay variety, particularly in the levels. Pedro briefly described the level that is collapsing so you have to continually dash to avoid your demise. The football level was also always a highlight for me (though it took me a while to figure out how to play). There are many different and surprisingly fun minigames that you could play between the stages, too. The dash mechanic was very well implemented and utilized in this game.

Geez, it's that annoying Puertorican again... :p

But in all seriousness, I had fun recording this episode, but I still prefer the previous because of that one incident I mentioned ;) .

Hurray more Pedro.

Number 4 is the only game I've played (though I own number 1), but fortunately, it is one of my favourite games on that system. I recognized all of the tunes from it.

As for the conversation that follows...

"Lips" does seem like a strange team name for Birdo, considering she never wears lipstick... if she even has lips. What's interesting is that her team logo is still the same as in the Japanese game, which depicts her with lipstick. Also, it may have just been my imagination, but it sounded like you pronounced Birdo's team name as "bows" instead of "bows."

As far as Birdo's gender, the simple truth is this: Birdo is a male-to-female transsexual. In Japan, this is treated as some kind of joke, whereas NOA chose to be a little respective of this and refers to Birdo as a "she;" it is respectful to refer to a transgendered person as the gender they choose to identify with. However, they've been inconsistent as of late, and have avoided using gender-specific pronouns since 2005's Mario Superstar Baseball, instead always referring to her by name.

Pedro, you need more self-confidence! It's clear you're passionate about gaming and have interesting insights and opinions, so you shouldn't worry so much about being a blabbermouth.

Yes, I realized when editing that I mispronounced that word, Mop_it_up. Oh well!
