Then send it my way and your request might be on the next episode of Radio Trivia: Podcast Edition!  Heck, throw in a question and specific songs if you want.  Just remember, it has to be a game found on a Nintendo system in North America (unless we say otherwise)!

Also, regarding the discussion for Game 4, please note this was recorded before playing Epic Mickey at Disney's press event last week. That said, I still agree with much of what was said.

BEST...EPISODE...EVER! :cool;

But in all seriousness, it came out great. The new headset that I bought worked really well, especially when compared to the audio I did on one of the Newscasts.

I had a lot of fun recording this, and hope to do it again in the future :D

Own count: 0/5
Trivia count: 3/5 (1, 2 and 4)

1 has one of the more distinctive soundtracks on the show, and 2 I remembered from a live Radio Trivia.

Just started listening. It took me all of 5 seconds to identify Game 1. And it's nice to hear from Pedro again - your audio is much clearer this time.

I went two for five this time. I'm quite surprised that Game 1 has not been used before. Overall, it was a great episode.

Its great to have Pedro on.  I wish he would be a special guest on the various podcast more often.  He is always super excited it seems to talk about it.  It was awesome.

Oh Pedro warioware is totally under appreciated.  That series is great.  DIY is the best game on DS this year and one of the best ever on that platform.

Regarding the last game,
The interesting thing about the game was the energy system.  Even though you regenerated health, it was shared among your jetpack, ammo, and your health.  Collecting E bubbles increased your maximum energy capacity, but you had to balance between using your pack and taking damage.  During the shmup portion, the game offers you E bubbles in hard-to-maneuver places, which aren't used until the latter part (the shmup part is one hit death).  It gets brutal pretty quickly (and if you manage to beat the 8 fortresses, you have to do another 8 to really beat the game!).  The jetpack portions always made me think of Metroid.  At the end of each stage, you destroy a core, which looks similar to Mother Brain's setup, and have to escape the fortress before it explodes.  Another interesting aspect: Iwata was producer on this game, so it is very strange that it's not on VC yet.  I don't know how widespread the game was when it came out; it was one of the random games that my dad bought for me because he thought it looked interesting.

Thanks for the additional info on the last game, MB! Very interesting stuff!

Thank you very much! I am very happy that people enjoyed my appearance on the show. Considering I speak with a thick accent I get worry about how my words come across, so I get a little nervous, but I am very glad to know that its the opposite. I am very happy that the new equipment that I got worked great as I was very crystal clear.

Maybe I'll keep my appearances rare so they are more special that way ;) .

Regarding Wario Ware DIY I agree that its a great game. While in all honesty I wouldn't put it that high up in my list of best games ever since I feel it has a deep learning curve and the pre-made content is limited. But it is a fantastic game with some very deep game design tools. I personally love to include it alongside Wario ware Showcase as it complements the package perfectly.

When I said that WW was unappreciated I meant in terms of music as, like I said in the podcast, everyone is quick to mention a Koji Kondo soundtrack but very few take the time to notice Wario Ware, especially when you consider it has A TON of vocal theme songs, including Mona's Pizza, Mike's Song, Ashley's Theme, Wario's Mambo and so many. Darn it, now that I think about it, I should have mentioned how many Wario Ware games often have music gameplay, like the Wario de Mambo game and the infamous dancing game from Smooth Moves.

I concur.  Pedro, I enjoyed your enthusiam on this episode.  I hope that you can make other appearances on this and the other podcasts.

I also could hear you loud and clear.

Great music this week!

I had some trouble understanding Pedro when he was on Newscast, but it was no problem at all on Radio Trivia, so I think it had more do with audio quality than his accent. And I agree, he is a lot of fun!

The last game not only had cool music but sounds right up my alley. Someone should make it available in a legal and convenient format!

Yeah, I blame the audio quality. But Andy tried very hard to eliminate the noise around me, so when he did my voice was very muted. The headset I bought eliminates a lot of noise, hence why I was quick to participate in this because I wanted to try it out.

Thanks for the awesome words, dude! I did have a lot of fun doing this, and its great that it shows through.

It's too bad you guys will never hear the uncut version... :D

If anyone's interested in reading more about Air Fortress, GameSpite (aka Jeremy Parish's blog) recently published an article about it in its 25th NES Anniversary issue.  You can read it here.
