Did you like the third and fourth games? Let your fellow listeners know in TalkBack! Think you've got a better choice? Then send it my way and your request might be on the next episode of Radio Trivia: Podcast Edition!  Heck, throw in a question and specific songs if you want.  Just remember, it has to be a game found on a Nintendo system in North America (unless we say otherwise)!

This episode was edited by Michael "TYP" Cole. Intro music is copyright Jason Ricci & New Blood. All game music is copyright their respective owners.

Game 2 is my 2008 GOTY, which makes me wonder if a game can win GOTY twice. Still, that was an epic trolling move, TYP.

I did end up grinding a bit but mainly for Tech points about halfway through on an enemy that doesn't give EXP. Having Luminare for Giga Gaia is always fun.

1. I got the game on the first song, but I missed the question because I was thinking of the wrong minigame (there are several).
2. I didn't get this until the question (I read in a Wiki that there was a weapon that always did 777 damage). By the way, I believe Marle's name is pronounced "Mar-lee". At least, I've always pronounced it that way. Then again, maybe she's pretending to be French and it's supposed to be pronounced "Mar-lay".  ;)

2. The French pronunciation of "Marle" would be as I said it on the show (one syllable). I have no idea if that's what the creators intended, but the name always looked French to me, so that's how I say it.

Ha! I got Game 2 only because I'm currently playing through it (for the first time)!

Man, I went 0 for 5 again. I even missed game 4, which I played quite a bit of and even liked the soundtrack a bit. Oh well, I still enjoyed the tunes and the occasional blows that TYP and Jonny took at each other.  ;D

I got 3 of 5! A new record, probably.

1. Humorously enough, I've never seen that mini-game in Galactic Pinball. I played it enough to remember the music, but it was the last Virtual Boy game I bought over the summer.
2. Had a sneaking suspicion after the first track, and then I figured out TYP's ruse of using the DS version. I was wondering why the music seemed familiar in style but not that familiar...
4. The weird-as-hell music gave it away for me. I have played very little of this, and my guess of the sequel was fortunate.

First time listener to Radio Trivia...  definitely a fun change of pace from the usual talking heads bit.

Man, was I excited about Game #1.  I thought it sounded familiar after the first selection, but then once the second track kicked in I knew it.  Have been playing this recently after I scored the necessary hardware over the summer.  Love the music and, almost surprisingly, the deeper-than-expected gameplay.  Each time I play it I notice a little nuance that I haven't yet seen.  Definitely one to own if you have the equipment, so to speak.

Good choice, TYP, if I may be so bold as to call you that.

Glad you enjoyed it! Be sure to check out the very rare live format this Friday, hosted by James and Karlie! (It was delayed a week after I had recorded and posted this episode.....)

This episode was just plain dastardly! I fell for the same trap with game 2....
