Please pardon Steven's microphone troubles this week.

Did you like the third game? Let your fellow listeners know! Think you've got a better choice? Send it my way and your request may be the third game next Radio Trivia: Podcast Edition! Heck, throw in a question and specific songs if you want. Just remember, it has to be a game found on a Nintendo system in North America (unless we say otherwise)!

Talkback

This is the hardest it has been in a while.

3 points. face-icon-small-disgusted.gif

Also game 5: Terrible. The last song has a pretty big hint... and the terrible is expected from those games... but my god. That was hard to sit through.

you...you know you can jump ahead if you really want....right?

I think this is the only podcast that came out this week.

Game 3 was sweet. It's a really hard game, too, on the same order of magnitude as Battletoads.

Not when I actually played the game.

Here I was walking home from work, listening to this podcast, song #1 for game #3 comes up and what were my first thoughts as I heard the first few notes? "OMG IT"S FREAKING COBRA TRIANGLE! WHO WAS COOL ENOUGH TO SUGGEST THIS GAME? OMG! WICKED!".
Yes, I really did yell in my mind, and yes, I was completely oblivious to the fact that I had sent the suggestion some time ago haha.
However, it's funny how I didn't recognize not even one bit of song #2 nor song #3.

It is indeed tough, I remember when way back in the 80s when me and my brother were trying to pass the game, and I actually got far myself but it was just insane, so the only way we beat it was with a game genie, yup, a game genie lol inifinite lives ftw.
Until recently I thought it was one of the most difficult games ever concieved, to the point of thinking that no one would be able to beat it, that is until I just checked on youtube a video of someone beating it haha. Good times indeed.

Hey, don't feel bad. I suggested the same game twice in a row...AFTER it was used.

I aim to unexpectedly please, Caliban!

Doesn't that read just like one of Sakurai's Dojo screen captions?

Thanks to Caliban for suggesting Game 3 and to TYP for including it. It was one of the last NES games I played before my console ceased functioning; not having the opportunity to replay the game at all since 1990 meant the nostalgia upon hearing the familiar music was pretty intense.

Is this the first time someone has suggested I could write Smash Dojo updates? Surprisingly...no!

The last game, Sonic Adventure DX Director's Cut, well, the only thing bad about the music are the lyrics, the rest was just rockin'.

Song One! ... Song twwooooooooooo

I.. I applaud you sir. Truly giving it your all. Wow.

Edit:

Wow. I need to go and buy that last game now. The music is sooo epic that it's completely bypassed my logic sensors.
