The third game in the Bit.Trip series will be released just in time for Thanksgiving.

Gaijin Games has announced a November 23 release date for the third game in the Bit.Trip series, Bit.Trip Void.

The WiiWare title, which has been available in Japan since October 27, will be available in North America for the week of Thanksgiving for 600 Wii Points ($6). The game will once again star Commander Video in a journey inspired by classic Atari games.

Players control a void, which is a big, black dot. The object of the game is to touch all incoming black dots while avoiding the white ones. Bit.Trip Void will feature multiplayer for up-to-four players, Nunchuk and Classic Controller support, boss battles, and chiptune-inspired music.

In addition to the release news Gaijin Games has also announced that the soundtrack to Bit.Trip Beat is for sale on iTunes and CDBaby, among other online retailers.

Gaijin Games is proud to announce our sponsorship of Blip Festival 2009! As huge fans of the chipmusic phenomenon, we figured why not do our part and support the New York-based festival this year to show our appreciation for all those chip musicians we love to love!

As you know, we've collaborated with Bit Shifter, Bubblyfish, and Nullsleep on BIT.TRIP BEAT, CORE, and VOID, and we're looking forward to continuing that tradition as the series continues. Our sponsorship of Blip Festival 2009 is one way of giving back to that creative community that we so admire.

If anyone out there wants to offer their support to The People's Fund to Support Blip Festival 2009, head over to kickstarter and back the project!

We're working on some pretty cool ideas for the show, and we'll keep folks posted as the festival draws near.

Continue rocking on. Over and out.
