Originally slated for a $40 release both in stores and on the eShop, it was announced today that the digital version would be sold for US$29.99/€34.99/£29.99. The physical release's MSRP will remain US$39.99, but will include a download code for the game's soundtrack which would normally cost US$10 or equivalent.

In the week in which outdoor loving began for 2017, most of the big releases are already out as of press time. New modes and DLC are coming to Blaster Master Zero following the game's 1.2 update.

For those who have finished the game, the new "Destroyer Mode" provides additional challenge. Its effects include reducing the effect of power-ups, requiring specific weapons to defeat bosses, and giving enemies a post-death explosion. Jason and the SOPHIA also have a new look in this mode.

The DLC plans for Fire Emblem Echoes have been announced, and a lot of gold will be required to get it all.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the latest Switch title to break sales records.

According to UK industry tracking, the Switch re-release was the best selling game in the country last week. Although no sales figures were available, it was the first top spot for Nintendo in general in six years (2011's Pokémon White) and the first Mario title to top the chart since 2008 (Mario Kart Wii).
