A little surprise from the conference was a mysterious game featuring mysterious sounds.
Nintendo President Satoru Iwata casually
announced a new Wii title by Nintendo, Kikitrick, during the Nintendo Direct Conference today.
Very little was revealed about this
title. According to Iwata, the theme of this "slightly weird" game is
sounds, and the words "differentiate mysterious sounds" can be seen on
the box art. Kikitrick will be released in Japan on January 19, 2012.

StreetPass map, new puzzle panels, and the sequel to Find Mii!
On the first streaming of the Nintendo Direct presentation, Sataru Iwata revealed that StreetPass Mii Plaza is going to be updated with new feaures and modes.
StreetPass MapThe areas (prefectures in the Japanese case) where StreetPassed Miis live are going to be recorded on a new map. The goal is to StreetPass Miis from all the areas.

In November, people will be able to relive their earlier Dream Land experiences in 3D.
Kirby's Adventure is the next 3D Classic, according to Nintendo of Europe.
Set to come out in Europe on November 17 for €6, it is a 3D-enhanced version of Kirby's 1993 NES debut. A North American release hasn't been announced, but given how releases have been in the two regions, it is likely to come out in November.

A new Mario Kart channel, community features, and more!
During the Nintendo Direct Conference today, as well as in an extended Iwata Asks video interview, game producer Hideki Konno confirmed that there will be 32 courses (16 brand new courses, 16 retro) in Mario Kart 7, and detailed all the new online features.

Get ready to rock the original Kid Icarus in 3D!
Kid Icarus is one of the next titles to be released for the 3D Classics series.
In Japan, gamers who register two Nintendo 3DS titles between October 1 and January 15 will be able to download the 3D Classic Kid Icarus free of charge through a campaign with Club Nintendo in Japan called "Chotto Mario na Nintendo 3DS Present Campaign".

Nintendo has revealed that the Hulu Plus video streaming service will be heading to Nintendo 3DS and Wii before the end of 2011. Like Netflix, Hulu Plus is a subscription service for watching movies and television shows over the internet. Added video functionality and more is coming to your 3DS.
With the upcoming firmware update, the Nintendo 3DS camera will see an update that allows video functionality. The video mode will have three different modes, a normal recording mode and interval mode where 3DS users will be able choose from a 2, 5, 15, and 60 for consecutive recording, and the ability to record stop motion videos. Players can record up to 10 minutes of video.

Nintendo Australia has announced more new release dates for games coming this November and December. Firstly, Go Vacation for the Wii will be arriving on November 17. The game features 50 unlockable games ranging from sports to dance-based challenges. Solatorobo: Red the Hunter closely follows with a launch date of November 24, bringing a new RPG to the Nintendo DS.

Promoting the game, and looking after animals.
Nintendo and Australian singer Jessica Mauboy have joined forces with the RSPCA to promote Nintendogs + Cats. The singer will be appearing in new TV ads promoting the game.
The RSPCA has also officially endorsed the game, stating that its science team spent many hours with the game to ensure that it promoted responsible ownership of a puppy or kitten and fell in place with the organization's key messages.

Two Tribes has begun work on Toki Tori 2.
Popular puzzle platformer Toki Tori is getting a sequel Two Tribes announced. Toki Tori 2 is currently scheduled for release on Steam sometime next spring. Two Tribes also has plans to release the game as a downloadable title for other platforms, including Nintendo and iOS devices.

Retro-styled platformer will also include a selection of already made user-created levels.
The 3DS version of VVVVVV is able to import levels from the level editor in the PC version of the game, Nicalis's Tyrone Rodriguez informed us.
While the "initial launch" of the 3DS version of the popular retro-styled platformer will not include its own level editor, it will allow you to connect to the PC version to play custom levels designed in its editor.

Those of you hoping to play online with friends might be a little disappointed.
Monster Hunter 3G for the Nintendo 3DS will not feature online cooperative play. In a recent announcement, Capcom clarified the nature of the online components of the game, stating that the title only uses online functionality to download event quests. Gamers can still play the game with other players locally.
