Japan Gets a Golden GameCube GC

Nintendo Corporation Ltd. is releasing a special edition "Starlight Gold" Gamecube in Japan, exclusively through the Japanese branch of the popular toy store, Toys "R" Us. This special edition Gamecube has a gold tint to it. The unit, which is available now, costs 13,799 yen ($127), the same price as a regular GameCube system, and includes the same accessories, including a golden controller. Gamasutra, Game Developers Magazine’s online division, recently posted its E3 interview with legendary game designer Shigeru Miyamoto, Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma, and lead DS hardware designer Kenichi Sugino. According to Atari’s own web site, Atari has two more Dragon Ball games in the works for the GBA. The first, Dragon Ball: The Red Ribbon Army Saga follows the memorable adventure of young Goku as he overcomes an entire army to reclaim his grandfather’s heirloom—a dragon ball. Swingin' Ape Takes Over Starcraft: Ghost GC

Blizzard hands over the game's development to the studio behind Metal Arms.

Blizzard has released a brief note to the media, stating that Swingin' Ape Studios has been hired to complete development on Starcraft: Ghost. The game's previous developer, Nihilistic, parted ways with the project a couple of weeks ago. The agreement with Swingin' Ape Studios also means they will be working on other multiplatform games once Ghost is completed, which amounts to confirmation of more upcoming console titles from Blizzard.
