Tumblebugs Due for WiiWare Release This Fall Wii

N+ Goes Gold for DS DS

Atari's sequel to the minimalist flash game N has gone gold for the DS.

Atari announced that the DS version of the early 2008 Xbox Live Arcade ninja-platformer has gone gold. The title was originally created by Metanet, and the DS version has been developed by SilverBurch Studios.

Capcom's Bionic Commando Not Approved for Virtual Console

"Told no" when they tried to get the NES classic on the Wii's downloadable retro library.

In a recent interview with 1UP, Capcom's Ben Judd said that they "couldn't get (Bionic Commando) approved for the Virtual Console." With the pending release of a remake of the game and an upcoming release of a new Bionic Commando game for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, Judd was disappointed that they couldn't work it out.

Chrono Trigger Coming to Europe in 2009 DS

The legendary time-travelling RPG will make its belated debut in PAL territories on DS in the early part of next year.

Mega Man 9 to Include Screen Flicker and Slowdown Options Wii

The developers are challenging themselves to faithfully recreate the 8-bit experience, including limiting number of enemies on screen and making 8-bit music.

Japanese Weekly Software and Hardware Charts for July 21 – 27

Wario flops into the charts and barely makes a splash.

This was a mixed week for Nintendo with continuing high sales of Mario Kart Wii and Wii Fit, but a disappointing start for Wario Land: Shake It.

In fact, if it weren't for Dragon Quest, Sony would own the top half of the charts entirely. However, Square Enix's fifth Nintendo DS remake seems to be doing very well and should easily take one million units in the next few weeks.
