Game Releases and DLC from April 26 to May 2

Wolverine, robots, horses, and aquariums populate the game releases while Nirvana, Jane's Addiction, and Megadeth are among the bands with new songs for Guitar Hero: World Tour and Rock Band 2.

With a few more releases than last week, this week has little more going for it than a pair of Wolverine titles and a Monolith Soft game.

On the downloadable side, World Tour gets three more Nirvana tracks while Rock Band 2 gets a Jane's Addiction album, a Megadeth album, and more.

Scribblenauts Gets a Publisher DS

Roogoo Wii and DS Multiplayer Modes Detailed Wii

Everything from races to unlockables is offered in the upcoming puzzle adventure game from Spidermonk Entertainment.

Roogoo started its life as a downloadable game on Microsoft’s Xbox Live Arcade. It gained enough critical acclaim to merit a port to both the Wii and DS with Roogoo: Twisted Towers and Roogoo: Attack respectively.

Wii Video Service to Hit Other Regions Soon

Nintendo President Satoru Iwata details the recently released service while confirming its release in other regions.

On May 1 Nintendo made the new Wii no Ma channel available for Japanese fans. As we detailed a few days ago, Wii no Ma is a new video download service featuring video and services from various Japanese companies, as well as a DSi option that lets gamers download videos off the Wii channel and play them on their DSi.

All Star Cheer Squad Sequel Announced Wii

Citing NPD data, THQ has claimed the first All Star Cheer Squad as "the best selling cheerleading video game."

Hot on the heels of Namco Bandai's announcement of We Cheer 2, THQ has announced a second title in their own cheerleading Wii franchise, All Star Cheer Squad. However, in a game of PR one-upmanship, THQ has cited NPD US sales data in claiming their first All Star Cheer Squad title as "the best selling cheerleading video game."

Final Fantasy IV: The After Years Website Launches Wii

The new website reveals the existence of multiplayer modes.

Earlier this week, the website for Square Enix's WiiWare follow-up to Final Fantasy IV, titled Final Fantasy IV: The After Years was launched. The site lists the number of players as "1 - 4," belaying the existence of hereto unknown multiplayer content.
