Nintendo's anti-hero Wario launches his Game & Wario cashgrab site.

Nintendo has launched a marketing campaign for Game & Wario called Crowdfarter in an amusing parody of this generation's developers turning to social donation networks such as Crowdfunder and Kickstarter.

The "campaign", spearheaded by Wario himself, aims to gather "100 katrillion coins" in order to finance Wario's dream of, well, being rich. Readers are encouraged to "donate" to the cause by liking the page on Facebook or posting comments via Twitter. Incentives for doing so come in the way of some downloadable goodies, new trailers for the game and a digital badge that proudly proclaims "I crowdfarted!".

Ubisoft says it is focused on the PC version instead.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Online for Wii U was revealed to be on hold during its development stage.

When asked about the Wii U version of Ghost Recon Online, the official Twitter page for the game responded, "The Wii U version of the game is currently on hold while we focus on developing the PC version." The PC version was released last August, so improvements to that are most likely what is being worked on.

At E3 2012, senior vice president of sales Tony Key told IGN the Wii U version was taking "a little bit longer" in order to make sure it was done right.

In 2012, Kotaku posted an incendiary article about Silicon Knights and Denis Dyack. In 2013, Dyack responds.

Denis Dyack, CCO of Shadows of the Eternals' developer Precursor Games, spoke at length about the allegations towards himself and his former company, Silicon Knights, in a video.

The allegations, coming chiefly from a Kotaku article, focused on Silicon Knights' diverting funds from X-Men Destiny, which was published by Activision, to use on an Eternal Darkness 2 demo, among other issues. Dyack stated in the video that the claims were based on a variety of anonymous sources, and that he believed that any readers and members of the press would seek to confirm the reports. Numerous outlets rejected the story initially, according to Dyack, including Wired Game|Life. Watch the video below for the full details. Nintendo World Report will have a staff roundtable discussion posted soon with our reactions to it.

The Merc with a Mouth shows up on Amazon Canada.

Amazon Canada has listed the upcoming Deadpool game on their website as a Wii U release. Officially, the game has only been announced for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, but this listing might lead to a surprise announcement of a Wii U version.

Activision is currently offering pre-orders for Deadpool on the game’s official site for the other consoles with a release date slated for June 25. Interestingly, the Amazon Canada webpage lists the Wii U’s release as December 31, making a late announced Wii U release seem more likely, as this gives time to finish development for the console. The page offers no other information besides two videos, the ESRB mature rating, and a product number.
