If it's coming outside Japan, it'll need someone to step in. Updated with Capcom statement.

UPDATE:

Original story follows

Western Switch fans will be waiting a while for a Monster Hunter title.

Following the announcement of Monster Hunter World for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on Monday night, Capcom has confirmed to Gamespot that the Switch version of Monster Hunter XX will not be localized.

The previous two Western releases of Monster Hunter titles on 3DS both were strong sellers: Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate sold over a million copies outside Japan, while Monster Hunter Generations was the best selling game in the United States during its launch month (July 2016).

I like it when an article offers no quotes from anyone. Great journalism. (Gamespot, not this lovely site)

Is Capcom the new Konami?

Please update the article to reflect the statements made on the Monster Hunter Twitter in response to the Gamespot article:

Just to clarify: our official response is we have not announced any plans to localize MHXX at this time.

I suspect Gamespot is partaking in inflammatory journalism.

And it's done.
