Prepare to be scared all over again.

Resident Evil: Revelations is being released on Wii U, along with other non-Nintendo systems.

This is more than a port of the Nintendo 3DS game because of new additions that include, enhanced HD graphics, additional content such as a new enemy, an extra difficulty level, and improvements to Raid Mode, which will feature new weapons and characters.

Resident Evil: Revelations will be released on May 21 in North America and May 24 in Europe. A digital release will come later.

Should have bundled in Mercenaries.

Well, I loved Mercenaries 3D when it came out, put a good 20 hours into it, but once Revelations came out, kinda became pointless, unless you REALLY want to play those RE4 and RE5 maps again.  Revelations Raid mode just does it so much better.

I notice the announcement doesn't mention dual stick analog support.  Hmmm....

Yeah, but seeing as the original had dual analog support, there's no reason they'd take that out for a port to a console that has two analog sticks by default.

I'm hoping for gyro aim on the GamePad. I played most of the 3DS version in the dark on my office chair. I spun so much that I didn't know which way I was facing.
But then again, I've already played it so I more than likely will not be getting this.

Still no interest in this game, but I'm very happy to see that Capcom is on board for more than a Monster Hunter port.

Capcom is on board for more than a Monster Hunter port.

Not only is Capcom porting a Wii game, they're also porting a 3DS game.

Maybe someday... a brand new game?

Can't wait to have this on the Wii U! I love it on the 3DS and I know I'll love it on the Wii U also!

I'm hoping to be able to play local multiplayer raid mode with the 3DS version. That would ensure that I will double dip

AdrockJanuary 23, 2013

I wouldn't say no though Capcom would absolutely have to update/patch the 3DS game to include all the extra content which they seem less likely to do. I would seriously consider getting the Wii U version at $50 as a show of gratitude for going the extra mile. I could see the 3DS update being free with the Wii U version and paid through the eshop standalone. I hope us 3DS owners can import our save file to the Wii U version so we won't have to start from scratch, but I won't hold my breath.

I hear you, Adrock. While I would like them to update the 3DS version, I really don't expect them to. I'll be happy with just being able to play all the 3DS-only missions against the Wii U version.  For example, when I'm playing the Wii U version against my brother/sister on the 3DS version, the Wii U extras would be locked out so - graphics aside - we'll basically be playing the same game.
