Complete with collectable cards that can give gamers access to special puzzles in the upcoming 3DS Layton title.

Ezaki Glico Co., LTD, best known for the Japanese snacks Pocky and Pretz, are bringing Layton themed chocolate to Japan starting on January 15 and will be available until around the end of March.

Each package comes with one of ten different puzzle cards. These puzzle cards also serve as scratch-off cards that can give gamers access to passwords for special puzzles in Layton Kyouju to Chou Bunmei A no Isan (Professor Layton and the Azran Legacies) on the Nintendo 3DS.

The company hopes to tap into what they feel are the biggest supporters for the Layton series in Japan – women between the ages of 20-30. There will be two flavors for the snack, tea chiffon cake and gateau chocolate.

Layton Kyouju to Chou Bunmei A no Isan is rumored to release in Japan on February 28.

I'll bet the candy tastes terrible.

If I can find it, I'll be buying this chocolate for sure. I fit the demographic of being a Japanese woman aged 20-30.  :-*
