Retailers leak some details about the upcoming party game from Nintendo.

Just a few days after Nintendo announced Wii Party’s release date, a list at the Japanese retail site HMV mentions some of the mini-games players can expect in the title.

The mini-games are as follows:

Wanwan Karuta: While the Wii Remote is playing a sound, players must identify what animal is making the sound.

Remote Control Hide and Seek: The player will hide the Wii Remote. The other players must find it while using the sound of the remote as a guide.

Sensitive Bomb: Players pass the Wii Remote around while shaking it as little as possible. When it’s shaken the player loses.

HMV lists this game as part of a mode called “Living Party” mode. The mode in total will have six mini-games. The site also lists 80 mini-games in the game’s standard play mode.

Ever so slight interest level falling.

Tell me about it.  The game sounds like a dud just like Wii Music.  :P

At the very least, Nintendo didn't make a big deal out of it, unlike Wii Music...

Ravi drums anyone?

Wii Music sounded interesting, which is why I was disappointed after reading reviews. Wii Party sound so-so based on this, I hope they do better.

They've still got ten days to plan the obligatory embarrassing Nintendo executive performance for Wii Party.

The Legend of Zelda Wii presentation scrapped in favor of 10 minutes of Nintendo reps playing Wii Party CONFIRMED!

We had a real hoot on RFN thinking about how Cammy would demonstrate the Wii Remote hide'n'seek on stage at E3 with Reggie.

I'll leave it at that.

Why is it echoing.... does anyone else hear that echo?

I'm looking forward to a game of hide the Wii remote.

Reading those reviews also told me the hardcore gaming audience doesn't know what they are doing most of the time.

Wii Music was like the giant music toy I never had as a kid. though to be fair, it should've been Mario Paint Wii

I figured this was going to be like Mario Party but without Mario.  But I guess I should never underestimate Nintendo's ability to make something REALLY lame.

Do people still accuse you of trolling if you crap on the Wii series?  By now is this series not fair game to make fun of?  The Wii Sports games are pretty good but every thing else is so weak.

Wii Fit Plus is awesome, Wii Play is like a cereal box with a free toy.

What part of Bizarro World did you come from to come up with your crazy Wii Series generalization?

To be clear, this game still is like Mario Party. These weird "hide the Wii Remote" games are just a secondary mode.

I think it could be considered trolling to call a game "REALLY lame" when you know next to nothing about it.

Unannounced DS Pokemon Spin-off is the worst game of this decade!

But what I do know so far is really lame.  So very lame.

I think I can say that it is very likely I will not enjoy the final product since the first details sound astonishingly lame and I don't care for either party games or the Wii series.  So far this is like a dream team effort of combining my least favourite elements of videogames.  They just need to find a way to add Dragon's Lair style FMV gameplay and randomly generated dungeons and they're set.  And the THQ logo has to find it's way onto the boxart.

The first minigame mentioned might not work so well due to the poor sound quality of the Wii Remote.

The second one, I see a lot of people not bothering with it.

The third one is pretty funny, I could see people nudging the people sitting next to them to make them move the Wii Remote.

I never have the speaker on the Wii Remotes turned on, so I wonder if doing so will disable the minigames which require it.
