The legendary Touhou series of shooters will be coming to North America late this summer, and now the Switch is joining in on the fun.

Touhou Kobuto V: Burst Battle has been announced for the Switch by NIS America, who will be publish the game on September 5 in North America and 8 September in Europe. It was originally slated to release on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in July, but the releases have been delayed to September to allow for a simultaneous release.

Huh kind of a shame, I'd much prefer that insane vertically scrolling bullet hell game than this apparant spin off. Oh well, I hope its intended audience has a good time with this. I'm sure Switch will get a few shmup games eventually.
