That may be part of it. Because I can play through the original Ocarina without dieing once and have virtually every item's place memorized and I find Master Quest to be very challenging. So it may just be that my familiarity has given me an edge.

Though Hourglass seemed especially easy... and cliched as far as Zeldas go.

Haven't tried HourGlass yet.
My DS library is small compared to the Wii. I may have to try Hourglass.

The only Zelda titles I have problems with is the 2 NES titles and the Oracle games.

I had some problems playing Majora's Mask when it first came out. I didn't engage my brain into using time and item management until I was much older.

Phantom Hourglass, I basically found, trimmed the fat off of some typical Zelda elements (dungeon map/compass) and overall was a very enjoyable game to play. I love it even more then my favorite portable Zelda game which I consider to be the greatest in the series: Link's Awakening.

And those who say the Ocean King Temple ruined the game... obviously didn't use the NOTE PAD system. IT'S THERE FOR A REASON FOLKS.

I'm not as negative on the Ocean King Temple as some are, but the the overall trimmed Zelda experience was more what dampened my enjoyment of the game. Though the awesomely fun multiplayer with achievements and scored rankings along with the special boat parts made up for it by far. I really hope they keep and expand the multiplayer in Spirit Tracks. Though I hope they do something about people who disconnect. Paraphrasing Captain Jack Sparrow, "the deepest circle of Hell is reserved for deserters and disconnectors" >:p

PH isn't that bad as a my first Zelda game. The multiplayer in PH was the best part of the game until everyone either cheats (which laughably doesn't work because you can easily figured out that they will make a bee line to the biggest rupee), disconnects, and/or always pick the mini, mini, way too small broken stage and baby sit all three possible way of moving from one side to the other. I would love to see a four sword type spin off base on the games online mode but it's going to fail until Nintendo starts permanently banning anyone who has a high rate of disconnecting.

side question: how are cheater causing the game to stutter?

After going through all the fat in Twilight Princess, PH's trimmed experience made it go more smooth.

Zach: We understand that you hate the DS Zelda games, and its OK. However, there's no need to constantly troll the game, especially since many gamers LIKE the DS games.

Boo figures I don't see it either, looks like Zach and I agreed on something in regards to PH which is why I have trouble getting excited for this! Sad, oh well.

So yeah anyway Gametrailers TV is going to be talking about this title as well as New Super Mario Bros Wii tonight. I suspect the episode will be on Gametrailers.com before the show is over.

That is a nice stylus.

OK Gametrailers has the new trailer. It pertains to a very important story element. So don't watch it if you don't want it spoiled.

That new story element made much, much more interested in the game, for some reason. :)

Yeah, me too. That trailer was great. It turned this from a game "I'll get down the line", to one "I'll pick up near release."

*SPOILER*Zelda's Spirit and Link have an intimate moment where they make clay pottery together*SPOILER*

BUt seriously, that trailer made me realize that Nintendo needs to upscale that DSi XL because the graphics on that game only looked good when they zoomed out to show both screen, other wise it was a pixely mess.

I love the part (approx. 2:22 in the GT trailer) where spirit Zelda wisps under Link's tunic. How delightfully inappropriate.

9th October - New Item Detailed

Today, it was revealed that in The Legend Of Zelda: Spirit Tracks, Link would be able to utilise a brand new instrument known as the Spirit Pipes. It is played by selecting from the colour-coded pipes on the Touch Screen while simultaneously blowing into the DS microphone. Every dungeon in the game will have a specific song assigned to it which must be played in order to access it.

So, three items out in the open at the moment. All new to the series as well. They appear to be showing a lot of creativity as a whole in this game, so I'm reassured. It looks like some people have already cemented their opinions in advance, however... :-\
