Is The 3DS Dead?
<< < (3/5) > >>
Khushrenada:
Actually, I wish to change my answer. The 3DS will never die as long as we let it live on in our hearts and still take it out from time to time to play some games on it.

Still wish the 3DS could make it to the ten year mark. Really want to see its game prices decrease to more be more affordable.

Well nothing decreases prices of games more than a console being phased out of the market, at least in regards to used physical titles.  Case in point - aside from rare titles DS games are pretty cheap right now.  In two or three years I will expect the same thing with the 3DS.
Luigi Dude:
Well the Switch is still $300 with no price cut in sight.  I suspect Nintendo will at least keep producing the 3DS until some cheaper handheld only version of the Switch that they can sell below $200 is released.  At the moment the 3DS is still offering that cheaper alternative Nintendo likes to provide for families.

The Vita subsisted off obscure third titles up until Sony pulled the cord, so I assume the 3DS could survive a few more years. They need to bring out more Nintendo Selects titles because I do not want to pay full price for its games any more. Is there a chance Dragon Quest 11 could eventually be on the 3DS outside of Japan?
