Can't deny the outcome, Silenced as the heavy shadow hand of the Mafia definitely was pivotal. What's this about mafia ending on the site? |

dang I wonder how this would have gone if you guys voted with me when I voted for Stratos. I went through his posts and I got a suspicious vibe, but I didn't really do much to make a case for others to vote. I got taken out that night. I should have explained he only voted for people in the first few days who had been later proven to be townies. Mafia knows who we are, but not the other way around. |

What's this about mafia ending on the site? --- End quote --- It's a possibility. It seems to be harder and harder for people to find the time to play or who want to sign up. As such we've gone through long periods between Mafia games. Things were kind of stagnant here between Mafia 67 - 68 with a long stretch of nothing happening. I sent out a pm to everyone who has been involved with this game to let them know of my goal of seeing the Mafia games at least reach game 75 as a sort of milestone and hopefully build up some enthusiasm for playing a few more rounds. While there was a bit of an uptick in activity, it seems to have trailed off a bit but I guess we'll see what happens as we are almost at 75. I've tried to implement some changes that might help things like the majority vote rule to allow for longer days and more relaxed gameplay to give people more time to check in and get involved. It worked alright in Mafia 68 with a lot of activity over those days but it seemed to crash hard in Mafia 71 so I stuck with the normal single day format for this game. It just seemed to result in minority vote results with the majority abstaining. I still think the majority vote with longer days has the best potential to keep these games going and making it easier for anyone hosting but there's still the factor of participation by players. For myself, Mafia 75 is my end goal for hosting. After that, I'm not sure I'll be hosting anymore. It's just tougher to do for me time-wise and I hate knowing that I've done better in the past on some games than the results I'm putting forth now. However, if other people want to take it on themselves to host games, they are more than welcome to. How many people will still be playing or want to keep playing is the big question. But I'd still be open to playing them. Or maybe I should watch from the sidelines and see how many people come to me for advice and could control the game without even playing. Ah, the possibilities. Regardless, that's what the talk of 75 being the end is about. |

I need to host one more, as I did some pretty awesome ones in the past. Mop it up and I's Mafia Party game was pretty intense from a hosting standpoint, what with spreadsheets and RNG dice rolls and power ups coming into play. I'll have to take some time off of work and time it for the breaks between school to ensure maximum focus. |

I am very strongly considering using a majority rule for Mafia 73, which will have an Ace Attorney theme. It's just so perfect. Cases in those games generally last 2 days, and the majority vote means we would hopefully see people actively trying to make a case against another player to try and sway the townie mob. |
