--- Quote from: lolmonade on February 20, 2017, 03:10:19 PM ---Vote Silenced. You've done a lot of typing, but the truth is you've done mostly baseless finger pointing in public of the forums without having much to show for your votes or accusations yourself. Hopefully more people show up to vote. Been a suspiciously silent game. Think Stogi might still be a mafia, it looks like he's been active in the last couple of days, just not contributing to the game itself. --- End quote --- Now you've given me reason to jump on you. I've been doing my best to get something started this game and it's been fucking difficult. It's true that I haven't nailed the Mafia or Borg yet, but I have been striving to do so to the best of my ability and it's getting damn frustrating that I can't get this **** right. You've decided to call all my work baseless. Day 1 was a baseless vote certainly, but nearly all votes that happen during that time are. Every day after that I was contributing daily, because let's face it--you complained about the activity yourself--if I wasn't active, this place would have been a ghost town. Absolutely nothing productive would have been done, since we all just depend on Khush or any other prolific user that dominates the game, then vote them out when it becomes convenient to do so. I've been making my votes every day with reasoning behind each one. Day 2 I focused on Top since they were playing with a relative distance from the game, contributing very little and only coming in once accused. The vote then turned into saving Mop, who I had included in my alliance and incessantly referred to as a near-confirmed townie. Day 3 I suspected Tofu of a power play and decided to put pressure on them to see their reasoning on things, more so of a probing vote of sorts. Their replies made me trust them more and I allowed the Insano vote to follow through, which ended up being a success. Day 4 people had complained, like you do, I dominated the space too much, so I consciously took a step back. I threw in my reasoning about nickmitch being a possible suspect due to his great experience and lurking nature. His death was not by my result and was followed by the town through no support of my own. Contrary to what you think, I've been doing my best to narrow things down from the beginning. I formed an alliance including myself, Mop, Stogi, and Perm; unfortunately Stogi went MIA and the mafia turned on the other two. I'm confident in my position as a town member and have always been trying to get something started in the threads. You, conversely, have hardly been much of an active presence and missed a day yourself. In all honesty, you've been lurking quite conveniently alongside stevey, who I suspected with Insano. Your votes haven't been any more or less informative than my own; you've focused on Lucario a decent amount for no real reasoning except he might be suspicious, which is way to easy to pin on a user like him, especially when he's not saying a word. Stogi, whose playstyle I think I know intimately at this point, I have been in contact with and have enforced his strong possibility as a townie. Yesterday's vote against nickmitch went against an inactive, and you said yourself you want to target them. Seems a bit contradictory to then turn on me for doing what you would have ultimately done in my absence. The player base is getting smaller and smaller and the Mafia is close to victory. Looks like you're grasping at straws just to get the win over with. I've failed plenty of votes in my time so it's a pretty safe bet for you to try this out and succeed. vote Lolmonade |

I've posted every day except two, voted in every day except two and 3, and didn't vote that day just because I didn't see the merit in joining that bandwagon vote. I follow the game without posting throughout the day because I 1) Enjoy watching the events unfold through the day, and 2) try to keep my input to when I feel like I have something to contribute. I've never denied I don't have a clear strategy, I haven't been one to try and organize private message groups in the past, perhaps something I should get better at in future games, especially since my solitary position makes it easy to target me if people have organized into their different tents. But especially in this game, I haven't been more or less active than anyone else. Conveniently you decide to state you had an organized group of townies with Stogi, Mop, & Perm once someone actually places a vote on you, and 2/3 of them are no longer in the game with the other one inactive. Funny how you decide not to bring mention of it yesterday when I placed a vote on Stogi. Look, I like active players, that's why I suggested over the last day to start focusing on those who have been quiet, throwing out Stogi as a player I found suspiciously quiet compared to prior games. But considering you're pretty intent to pin me as a suspect, lets throw it out there and see where the cards fall. There's also something to be said for a mafia player "hiding in plain sight", which I've seen before in other games, and wouldn't be surprised if you're doing. Given I have nothing else to go on currently, and you're intent to hold secret groups of dead players, I think a vote against you is as good as any other. |

Because I decided yesterday to let things fall where they may, as you might prefer. Beforehand I reiterated many times that I thought Stogi was innocent and defended Mop and Perm. I can't give proof of that alliance other than that, to your point. It wasn't the most effective group but it was an organization that helped me narrow things down over time. Ergo, in a game led by fear because of the Borg, the Mafia can easily just stay silent and play from the background, as you have, watching things unfold. You don't need to contribute when the town does what you want it to. It comes down to you and stevey in all honesty, and the way you're starting to mobilize yourself I think it's immediately clear you're Mafia. |

To be clear, scum is the term used when referring to Mafia members. The couple times I've branched out onto another forum to see how they play Mafia games there because of criticism from some on how we do it, I saw people throw around the word scum all the time for those who were Mafia. I don't think Silenced is actually calling a person's personality or persona scum. At least I hope not. Just wanted to provide that input in case it seems like he's coming across as harsh to another member. We don't generally refer to Mafia as scum here. We usually just refer to someone as possible Mafia or the guilty. Hopefully that will help keep any potential misunderstandings from developing in what is looking like a grand ol' Mafia debate. |

Definitely mistook that as inflammatory, but wasn't gonna bring it up. |
