I like the concept a lot.  The execution also seemed sound, but as you said this game ended too quickly to test it thoroughly.  The only change I can think of off the top of my head is to only allow a player to cash in their points once per day (thus preventing The Scum Scouring we did).

It was totally vudu's fault for revealing himself to me.  C'mon.  I've picked up on this now, vudu.  Try better next time.

Also, since I was pretty sure vudu was mafia, I was also pretty sure I was the first target, only because this is a points-based game and I cleaned up in that last one.

Hence a lack of fear of death.  I would have to say that I think points would have been better if they were easier to obtain, but perhaps were more temporary, for example.  The panel never got to bring me back to life, as noticed, because in the game, there weren't enough people with enough money to make it worth their while.

Of course, had the mafia not been so obstinate in voting out Mop it up, someone I was convinced was a townie, they'd have had an easier time, but Sundoulos made himself a heavy suspect right there.  Nickmitch's weird participation (And vudu's, really -- he sent that message to me early in the day, but it took hours for a post) pretty much set him off.

Oh well. Could've been a tough game, but with 1/3 of the mafia dead in the first day, and another 3rd not doing his part to fulfill his role, it was open-and-shut.

It was fun playing the townie side this time.  You get to be loud and obnoxious, and screw subtlety.  I also like the point system since it makes it possible for anyone to play a role even if they are just a townie. 

I still don't know why the mafia didn't make a hit day 2?  How come I never said "The Dude Abides"(unforgiveable). 

Thatguy for Actor of the year (MVP) he only had one day but he made the most of it and was hilarious in doing so.  Maverick was defiantly dangerous an the Mafia knew it.

A couple ideas
-Perhaps make a few more powers and powers to block those.  For instance, everyone was investigating but Sundolous was the only one who couldn't be investigated.  Perhaps there could have been a PR agent they could buy to block investigations for a day.

-make it so the mafia, and a few select townies gets double points since they are fewer in number but they don't have any special powers just easier to buy them.

-make townies be able to buy certain powers (block hits, investigate, etc) and mafia others (make extra hit, block investigations, etc) and then maybe one or two "super" powers that are hard to get but either side can get (similar to the academy and the contract)

-I like the idea of recruiting mafia members but maybe setting a max limit to how big it can get because it could easily sway the game if the mafia can make it through a couple days unscathed lots of people will jump ship.
