That's the Ps2 lineup for E3 this year, I think Nintendo might have a hard time beating all those games. What you guy think?

Ps: This is not meant to upset anyone on this board, I just want to know everyone's opinion on this matter.
Sean:
Sir Daniel, I'm guessing that many of these won't even come out in 2003, much less 2004, and beyond that, many of these won't be exclusive, more than likely.  That's my short and perhaps not so sweet take on what you have here.

Okay, I should clarify.  I know you're not saying they are all exclusives, but the thread is getting at the fact that the PS2 will have all these games and that will make it hard for Nintendo, for instance, to compete.  Well, it's just not a comparison worth making.  Surely you see that this list doesn't mean much of anything.

If I'm missing your point, let me know, but if you're saying that with a lineup like the above that Nintendo can't compete, then I starkly disagree.  Nintendo will get stomped by Sony as usual, because that's just how things are right now, but this list isn't really an indication of much.
FFantasyFX:
I'm quite sure that the PS2 will have an excellent line-up of games at E3, but quite frankly your list leaves a lot to be desired.  A good number of the games you mentioned are multiplatform, substandard, rumored but not confirmed, or much too far away to be shown at E3.  I have no idea where the list came from, but it just seems to be an inconsistent hodgepodge of information.  While I'm certainly no expert on the Playstation library (and please someone correct me if I get something wrong), I do want to comment on some specific games you mentioned though:

Resident Evil 5 - This certainly won't be shown at E3, and even when it is revealed, who knows if it will be GC exclusive, multiplatform, or a Playstation exclusive.  Quite frankly, I think the first two options are much more likely than the final one.

Capcom Fighting All-Stars - This one has actually been rumored to be coming to the GC from time to time, who knows where it will end up.

Street Fighter 4 - ???  While it would be nice of Capcom to finally prove they can't above three for a series other than Mega Man, I haven't heard anything about this one.

Rachet and Clank 2, Sly Cooper 2 - What, is Sony trying to turn these series into the next Tomb Raiders? (and I don't mean that in a good way).  The originals were only released this past holiday season.

Final Fantasy XI - Not so sure this is going to come out over here, considering the necessity for a hard drive and other hurdles, but I might be wrong.

Chrono 3 - Certainly won't be shown, very minor possibility that it isn't even for the Playstation 2.

Anyway, to be blunt, I think this particular list (wherever you got it), is much too easy to pick apart with its numerous flaws to be very convincing.  Some person just stuck together every confirmed and rumored PS2 game of any value and ended up with a list that might not end up being too accurate.
Grimlock:
Sir Daniel, I assume you lifted this straight from IGN PS2's "Games of 2003" feature.  After perusing said list, if's blatantly obvious that it is neither a list of games that are confirmed to necessarily be released on PS2 in 2003 (quite a few have 2004 beside them), nor is it a list of PS2 games grounded in reality, period..  Take Street Fighter 4 and Resident Evil 5 as just two examples.  These games are just rumors at this point in the game, and even if they WERE coming to PS2, they may not be exclusive anyway, or may not even come to the console at all.  IGN PS2's so-called "Games of 2003" feature should have, in reality, be named "Our PS2 Wish List of Games" or something similar, because, quite frankly, that's exactly what it is.  If I were you, I'd take this list with a grain of salt.

Now, concerning how this stacks up against Nintendo's E3 lineup: there are already lots of great GCN games that we know will be shown at E3 as well as many that we don't yet know about.  Nintendo likes to hold its cards very close to its proverbial chest, so I'm certain they've got quite a few big surprises in store for us at E3.

So what's the bottom line?  Ignore this list, wait until E3 to see what's REALLY shown, and THEN decide for yourself who has the better showing.  In the meantime, go play some great games.
Grey Ninja:
Nintendo usually kicks butt at E3.  I see no reason why they shouldn't this year.
