I'd have to say I'm kind of surprised.  I'm starting to think its gonna be one damn cool portable gaming system................ with a 500 dollar price tag.

If i ever get my gameboy player, I'd kill for dvd sized gameboy cases...hell it would be sweet if some third party did it and made one case hold like 10 games. =P

I like Nintendo Power.  Its always a very interesting read.  I don't read it for late breaking news, rather the silly nintendo stuff that is always included.  I'm a dork like that, but stickers, and pokemon cards seem to make my day.  =P

Anyway, I checked up on my "My Nintendo" account and it kind of creeped me out.  Now I was a subscriber to Nintendo power WAAAAY back in the day.  Then I had a fairly long hiatus from the magazine...(like 7 years)...Keep in mind that this dates back to pre-main stream internet.  Anyway, my nintendo now remember my original subscription and even the gifts I got with it.  It talks about how I received my Dragon Warrior Game Pak as my free gift in 1990.  I think thats pretty interesting cause they did that all based on my address somehow...  They also say i got a silver pin that hasn't shipped yet....from back in 91.  =P  It would be pretty cool if that just turned up in the mail.  Anyway, the moral to my silly story is this...its pretty cool that my My Nintendo account says i've been a member since 1989.  Beat that.  =P

edit: I thought i'd add to my childish gloating with some  proof. =P

Why the hell isn't the mario kart bonus disc the zelda disc?  I don't want these dumb demos.... and the two are launching on the same day.

You're right, if they launch this club thing... I'll be pissed if I can't register any of the games a currently own.  That's a pretty lame thing for them to do.

When they say "subscribe to nintendo power" does that include people who already have Nintendo Power?  Like is it gonna be this years christmas gift? Or is it gonna be for new subscribers only?

Ugh, I completely missed a cartoon debate and now I don't have time to read the whole thing... I'm a cartoon freak.

Has anyone gotten a chance to check the following out?
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0000AYJXS/qid=1067955244//ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i0_xgl74/002-9576891-7609653?v=glance&s=dvd&n=507846

I really want to get my hands on that but I don't have the money right now.

As for subliminal messages in Disney movies...I can confirm the "Good teenagers take off your clothes" part of Aladdin...but thats the only one I've been able to hear/see.  I've stared at the dust in Lion King for ages and others have claimed they see it spell sex, but I have yet to see it.  I dunno, I wouldn't fault the whole movie though for it.  Its not like subliminal messages even work...  Its just the creators having some fun.  You would go a little nuts too if you spent a whole month animating some dust.  =P

As for the whats better debate.... I have never been able to get into the Simpsons, but I don't see how you can compare it to Looney Tunes.  They are on so many different levels.  Part of what makes Looney Tunes so great are the very inside/vague jokes they used to get around the censors that The Simpsons creators don't even have to worry about with the considerably more leniant censors of today.  That same reason is why I loved shows like Animaniacs and Freakazoid.  They put "adult" humor into a kids show, but did it in such a way that most people didn't even notice.  Its pure genius when a writer can make a show that 8 year olds will be in hysterics while watching right along with their parents.

I just hope the Pokemon Col. video that is supposed to be on it is something other than what we've already seen.  I highly doubt that though...

I can't stand kobe and the lakers....they are a plague on the league just as the yankees are in mlb.  Its disgusting when teams can buy a championship...it cheapens everything else and I hope to god they are like the yankees and their losses continue...as for cool upcoming stars... anyone watch cabrakaba (sp?) for the suns?  He is a riot to watch and I think he could be something special if he keeps it up.  I'm sure I'm not the first to think of this, but I'm trying to get everyone to start calling him the chupakabra (again sp?)...  =P

(sorry I'm too lazy to look the spelling up...)

edit: Thats a lot of remembers.  =P

I was incredibly skeptical about Lebron until I watched his first two games.  I think the guy is amazing.  My fantasy league was skeptical too seeing as he didn't go until like the 9th round...but I already traded for him because he is a delight to watch.  The Cavs lost both of their first two games and he seemed honestly pissed off about it.  That is saying a ton seeing as this guy signed over 100 mil in endorsement deals before he even set foot on the court.  He is already set for life yet he is trule showing how much he loves the game.  I think he will be huge, but I also think his time in cleveland will be short.  He will become disgruntled with the losses, and Cleveland will use him to build the team by trading him for like 3-5 good players.  Thats the way it always seems to go.  In cleveland's favor though, their first two games were against quite good teams, even if Webber is hurt.  Its odd that they started out on a west coast trip.  I really think they will be able to do something in the weaker east conference and I bet they will make the playoffs.  Prolly lose out in the first round though.. =/  But you are all right, its early....but the guy did what great players do...  Had an amazing game stats wise while still looking like a team player.  I think he has a lot of potential.

Was Piac's cat wearing a hat?

Exactly...the whole point of a console is that the manufacturer can completely customize the hardware so you get the best bang for your buck.  I believe the Gamecube is a marvel of hardware design as well.  Just the fact that Nintendo can price it at 99 bucks and yet its still so powerful astounds me.  Everyone bashes the Phantom thing because he is supposedly just trying to sell everyone another PC, when that is EXACTLY what the X-Box is, yet everyone buys that.

edit: sometimes the randomness of my thoughts thrown together kind of confuses me, but I think you all get the point.. =P
