Well I made a decision. I'm unstickying all of these and leaving it up to the community how often they get bumped. :)

199.95 definitely. It's going to be the sweet spot, especially if they continue selling DSi and DSiTooFreakingBig.

I'm just going to merge all the threads into one big massive thread.  Then you'll all be confused! That'll learn ya! :)

But honestly, all other things equal, couldn't your discussion fit fine in Spyke's thread and you could also discuss WiiWare releases there?

VC is (sadly) such a small part of Nintendo's digital releases, it just seems weird to have an entire sticky thread for it.

You guys may not talk in Spyke's thread but he does do a damn good job of pulling the releases from all over the world into one place.

Am I the only one that reads this as basically...

Get the new Fire Emblem game and you'll get the bullsh** Fire Emblem along with it!

I dunno, the original GBA was relatively comfortable and just as portable and something like that could be improved on.  It would only take some small tweaks to make it feel a bit better I think.

Well maybe just unsticky this one then and not lock it?  Maybe unsticky all the VC/WiiWare related threads? Thoughts?

I don't think they are going to make their goal.

Mostly because I think they would be pretty dumb not to launch this thing at Christmas time and there is no way it's going to be ready for this Christmas.

This one may have been here first, the other one encompasses these releases and I hate seeing so many sticky threads at the top of the screen.  I'd like a better reason to keep it around than that.

The fact that you all apparently don't think the other gif has anything to do with pedofilia further cements how freaking upsetting the internet can be sometimes.

I'm with Rachtman.  I think back to the glory that is the GameCube controller and I miss that kind of form fitting design.  We're stuck in a nightmare of rectangles with Nintendo's designs and I wouldn't mind them taking a shot at making a more ergonomic 3DS.

However, most will call anything but sleek rectangles "ugly and dated" so they can't really win.

USPS better not dump saturdays.  It's their key competitive advantage and would just be nonsensical to lose.

Also, the value of a Netflix subscription would go down significantly if they did that.  It would suck to no longer get Saturday movies or to have returned movies processed on Saturdays.

Spyke's thread seems to make this one redundant. Anyone have any objections to me locking and unstickying this one so that all this conversating can be officially moved to Spyke's sticky thread?

Yeah, FedEx signature requirements are absolutely asinine.  I recently had a similar problem in that I had to have a much-longer-than-it-should-have-been discussion with them about how it was physically impossible for me to sign for the package Monday-Wednesday of the week and that we had to figure something out or they would return my package to the sender.

It took forever for the lady I was talking to to do whatever it takes to tell the system NOT to put it on a truck so I could go out of my way to pick it up at the FedEx location.

Yeah, wonderful service.

I have to ask though, are you bummed you bought a 360 right before the new slim, or did you actually order a slim?

Also, as for the Shadow Complex sale, it may be possible to create an xbox live gold account online, buy the game, and then have it waiting to be queued up when your xbox arrives.

At the very least you could use a friend's system to create you account, then buy it online, then "recover" your account on the new 360.

No way I would rebuy VC games for tacked on 3D.

and in many cases, better too.

That statement is definitely opinion. It's not a safe assumption that everyone will prefer to play these old games with arbitrary 3D.

Paintbrush nunchuk is awesome. Lame charging stand is lame. Don't need more unusable clutter.

Tron controller could be cool if it isn't third party stereotypical quality.

Well to be totally honest, it may be possible on the device but you'd have to cut the resolution in half.  120 pixels would make it next to impossible to make a functioning (and pretty) game.

How do you know it doesn't work in Book mode? Has anyone bothered to ask a Nintendo official? have they shown a game in book mode?

If it's using the Sharp Screen like we assume it is, then it is stil;l very possible that it works in bookmode and Nintendo just didn't want to show it off yet (like the port in the back, the OS or UI, the Stylus, the internal storage, Virtual Console, Movie Service[Netflix3D!!!] or the Wifi).
As perm said, it would need double the vertical resolution too.  Greg dug up an article from IGN that discusses some of this and the possibilities.  Essentially the screen could do it, but Nintendo opted to design the device in a way that doesn't allow it (lack or resolution) to keep costs down.

That is a good point Rize makes, it won't work in book mode.

But yeah, as others said, it only has 400 usable pixels.  It goes to show that that screen is a high tech screen though.  It would be nice if they stuffed some more into the touch screen.

I'm intrigued to see what effect viewing something in 3D has on the screen door effect I hate so much on the DS.

Yeah I think you'd have to muck up the controls enough that the 3D wouldn't make up for it.

I think the 3DS is innovative because of the addition of the gyros and the analog control, which are both brand new when it comes to Nintendo's handhelds.

I'm reserving judgement on the 3D, but I am still expecting to be underwhelmed by it.

If the installing games thing actually ends up being true, that's another huge innovation in my book.
